Again, it would be great to discuss this with you. Thank you for taking the time to read my article and raise such interesting points.
Thank you, Professor Crootof, for the post, and the kind words. I would love to discuss my proposal with you.
The judiciary - - our last bastion of hope...
I'm finding a lot of my international law colleagues here on Bluesky. Perhaps every field and subfield will be different. But I say give it time - - Bluesky has a solid foundation now and will continue to grow. I've been encouraging people in my domain to use it more because, yes, LinkedIn sucks!
The Trump regime would bring back slavery, if it could.
I was featured on CNN for a piece on prosecuting State leaders at the International Criminal Court (quoted there too is the great Leila Sadat!). We have a long, long way to go but let's hope the Duterte case can at least help generate a bit of positive momentum...

Appalling - - four more years of this?!?
He's poisoning civic discourse and values on an epic scale. Can the damage ever be undone?
All those COVID deaths alone should have been enough to derail that monster's bid for the presidency. GOP hypocrisy, for sure, but also slightly more than half of the American voting public gone stark raving mad.
I really appreciated doing this year's keynote for the International Committee for the Red Cross and Hong Kong Red Cross for their IHL Moot Asia-Pacific gathering - - fascinating topic and discussion on Autonomous Weapons Systems --thanks again to my colleagues and the organizers!
They bookend our doom - - one taught Americans to hate their government and the second one is destroying it.
A brief visual history of the decline and fall of the United States . . .
It's official! My faculty profile is now online at my new institution - - Peking University School of Transnational Law: stl.pku.edu.cn/faculty/a372...
But what can we DO about it? Lawsuits? Perhaps. But will that be enough?
It cannot be understood
Love it!!
