What does this mean?

This is something that I struggle with too. I think it is ok to have good things and still feel bad. Just focus on the moment to moment and sometimes the good things might cheer you up when you need it most.

I always really resonated with Roxas.

I don't really have a conclusion to this. If anyone else has felt ostracized for being asexual, feel free to chip in.

Another frustrating part is feeling isolated from within the asexual community itself. Sex positive aces vs sex repulsed aces arguing about what asexuality means can add more confusion and doubt from outsiders, and can sometimes scare people away.

It can be very isolating being asexual. For the longest time I felt like I was never going to find a partner unless I forced myself to have sex. But my marriage is proof that isn't true! But the trauma of feeling forced to pretend to like sex has definitely done serious damage to me.

There is definitely a level of oppression faced by asexuals where we are made to feel bad about it by others. The worst part is when we are shunned even by the greater LGBT community for not fitting in.

That being said, I still have to deal with lots of ignorant people who refuse to believe someone might not experience sexual attraction. Usually from normies who are very hypersexual and can't fathom others being different from themselves.

Happy asexuality day. I have identified as asexual since finding out about it in 2013. It is something me and my partner both share, and I am glad people are celebrating it today.
