Social rides highlight cycling issues. Our route last Wed included Horseshoe Bridge. Network Rail is responsible for this Bridge. It is on the Thames Path National Trail and clearly inaccessible to many. Contact the National Trail Office to raise this issue:

In 1970, a pedestrian was twice as likely to be killed in a crash in the US than in the Netherlands.
Today, a pedestrian is **20 times** as likely to be killed in a crash in the US than in the Netherlands.

Great to attend the APPG for cycling and walking event with Steve Bate of British Cycling and Maseem Akhtar of Saheli Hub, which encourages women to become cycling leaders in their community.
I raised residents’ concerns about the irresponsible use of e-bikes, and the dangers of unregulated modifications people make to them, during a debate on product safety.
An excellent blog that indirectly speaks to current fears over ebike batteries also. Gig economy companies effectively nudge riders into taking risks while politicians ring their hands but fail to fix key issues. Build proper cycle infrastructure & control employment conditions & battery sales.
All very frustrating. We will continue to try and gain clarification and stress the importance of language -- not all e-bikes are illegal.
