The Beavers original stadium was on Vaughn, it's still mostly empty lot

Nobody asked me but they definitely should put any new baseball stadium in Portland in industrial Northwest.
Out of Service - a Service Design Jeopardy game with Press Your Luck elements.
I've been promising my service design class we'd play Jeopardy for weeks. We're finally playing today.
Welp
If i were laying out my utopia, one principle would be that low-stakes or hard-to-detect yet massively anti-social behavior gets brutally penalized. Someone doing this?On losing the case should be open to severe penalties and liabilities and automatically set to undergo a field audit.
Sorry to add more horror to our already horrifying industry at the moment, but this is important to make people aware of!

my radio show is on wednesdays at 4pm I kind of like the "drivetime commute radio slot" tbh even if schedulewise, I won't always be able to be in the studio at that time.
i meant parfumo
as long as it's not like fragrantica with 100 different ways to review something for no reason
“[G]overnment services are rarely simple enough for a single answer to be the whole story. Yet if AI systems are going to present fragments of our work in isolation, then we need to ensure those fragments are robust”
—Mark Edwards on ‘When AI answers the question, what happens to the user journey?’
it's especially bad in some K-12 districts where they don't give high school head coaches school cards & expect them to pay out of pocket for huge team meals.
I always wondered how coaches without good FT jobs managed these situations, because HR always seemed unbothered by these burdens.
Permission structure to doubt: “Everyone, in other words, has been granted license to choose which images they will and will not believe, and they can elect to unsee an image simply because it doesn’t confirm their priors: the mere *possibility* of its algorithmic generation opens it to suspicion.”
This is largely by design. If we stop thinking about AI as simply technology and instead as part of a political and economic program, its chief function become easier to see: namely to erode interpersonal trust so that ultimately we give up on forms of agreement & negotiation arbitrated by people.
An anonymous donor just gave 21 kg (46 lbs) of GOLD BARS…

…on the condition that the ~US$3.6mil gets put towards FIXING MUNICIPAL WATER PIPES.
I would like the movie of the backstory of this, please. Like OCEAN’S ELEVEN meets @neorsd.org.

You used those tools to find your people and to share your innermost thoughts in the hopes someone could relate. You weren't looking for answers necessarily nor an oracle to tell you what you wanted to hear. not that friends can't do that but it's not their job & your don't pay them a fee.
The White House has a new app. It has "upsell" in the code. It segments and tracks its users. It nukes consent and GDPR banners on other sites. In short, it behaves with the same level of implied trust you've come to expect from that government; like malware.
I think the difference is we made real life friends on those platforms & it was a kind of pro-socialization.
A Duke loss adds a year back so you're good.
Duke losing on a buzzer beater gotta love that
Thanks interleague (bleh)
another learned league season in the book after a long absence. I'll take a Top 10 finish even if I kinda rolled downhill into it.
As a salty blue jays fan, this both hit better in New York and more live closer music please. If this is gonna be his hells bells or enter sandman..that's fine. The latest revolutions in closer music is probably cool
Toronto blue jays championship banners
ALCS Champs is also not a thing. it's American League Champions. ALDS champs also not a thing. So annoying.
the Blue Jays hung new banners, I do not like the decision to abbreviate ALCS, and I dislike making all of the banners uniform. but I do like honoring AL East pennants & AL pennants even if you win it all.
haha I would say @joelgoodman.co graciously shared his code & then I put my own spin on it. Mine is at listening.ronbronson.com. Super fun retrospective
