Photo of Louise Casemore with YouthWrite and Winter WordPlay logos. Louise Casemoreis an award-winning playwright, actor, and proud prairie dweller. Based in Alberta on Treaty 6 and 7 Territory, she is the recipient of the ATP/Enbridge Playwright’s Award, two Elizabeth Sterling Haynes awards, the Edmonton Artist Trust Fund, and was once declared to be the trivia champion of her family household. Original plays she has written and performed include OCD, Functional, GEMINI, and Undressed, which premiered at Alberta Theatre Projects in 2022. Her creative impulse is to explore real life in her writing, investigating the world around her with curiosity and humour. Louise remains active in the community by teaching, research, and hosting readings and artist events. She will make any excuse to spend time with writers, because she thinks they are the very coolest. Fun fact: Louise was a YouthWriter from 1996-1998!
