Bart: [watching cable TV] Oh, cool! This is where "Jaws" eats the boat! [later] Man, this is where "Die Hard" jumps through the window. (laughs) [later] Whoa! This is where "Wall Street" gets arrested! (chuckles)

I know I'm probably in the minority on this, but I'd rather hear a podcast of knowledgeable sportswriters (for an objective perspective) and/or unabashed fans of a team (if it's a team I like) than any assortment of current/former players/coaches. Major tune-out for TV shows, too, from me.
Also remember: an album is a collection of 78's gathered together in a bound book of sleeves.
I had a radio listener say almost EXACTLY this same thing to me in 2007 after I played a song from the album "Billie Holiday – Remixed & Reimagined," in which old Holiday tracks were remixed by modern producers.
I found it interesting to hear the same complaint 20 years later.

This part of the article jumped out at me: "Consent comes into question. Maybe it is because it makes us think of a corpse being put on strings, forced to perform like a soulless puppet." 1/2

From New Brunswick, NJ, you have to head south to go to North Brunswick, NJ.

Some alternative fans in 1992 not quite sure whether to call Pearl Jam "corporate rock"
Day 2 of WYEP's Decades Week: it's all music from 1986 today. From synth-based tracks to heartland rock to a scratchy 7" by the Chicago Bears to an appearance by Max Headroom, it's a whole lotta '86 all day (until 6p)

Years ago, someone was trying to explain something to me using analogies. Realizing they didn't have a precise comparison they told me of one analogy, "It's exactly the same but it's completely different!"
It's WYEP's Decades Week! Today is entirely music from 1976 until 6p.
Tomorrow, it's 1986, Wednesday is 1996, Thurs is 2006, and we wrap up on Fri revisiting 2016.
Just heard "Squeeze Box" from The Who....
Just looking up a lyric from the band Drivin 'n' Crying and was subjected to a lengthy lecture from the AI overview that the practice of driving while crying is a safety issue and should not be done.

This is interesting to me. What is a superhero ? Can someone explain why Batman is a superhero and, say, Indiana Jones is not? Is Obi-Wan Kenobi a superhero?
“Only a master of eviel, Darth.”
Since when is Obi-Wan on "Darth" speaking terms with him?

If there's any constant to my summers, it's listening to this song by The Sundays, "4th of July" by X, and Buffalo Tom's "Summer" toward the end of August.
Yes!
"Here's Where the Story Ends" by The Sundays. I was fresh out of college, working in the mailroom of a life insurance co & the piped-in music was fairly mainstream. Why they played a new UK jangle-pop song is beyond me, but it was mesmerizing. It took me a few weeks to identify it. It's still great
Today I learned that in the Spanish dub of TERMINATOR 2 when Arnie says "Hasta la vista, baby" it is changed to "Sayonara baby" which has become as indelible in the Spaniard psyche as the original is in the Anglophone world.
Slept in my Alabama 3 shirt and woke up this morning

Can someone make a phone case that makes me look like I'm playing a Mattel Electronics Football game circa late '70s?
