Although her walking seemed...off...

Not necessarily in an intense way...but just different enough that it was noticeably abnormal

"Where is it you're even going anyway? I don't see people out here very often..."

"Nah. I just know I could take him."

She began to follow along after him..using the tip of her sword to stabilize herself as she walks

"I'd show you. But I'd end up hurting you old man.."

She was keeping pace with him pretty well..not COMPLETELY upset with him as she was before..

He who cannot be hunted cannot

will be 𝖗𝖊𝖒𝖊𝖒𝖇𝖊𝖗𝖊𝖉.

"If I have to. I guess I've got nothing more to do with my time..."

She got herself up off the rock..still walking with her sword as a psuedo-cane

"Let's get going then..."

"You make do with what you have when you're all on your own."

She didn't have much else to say besides that. Glaring back at him as he stood there and and thought without moving on...

She clearly wasn't happy with what he said...but she also couldn't turn his offer down

"Well. Get on your way then old man...I'm sure you've got better to do."

She eventually sat herself down on a small rock...staring back at him in a distrusting manner with her sword still gripped ready as it rested between her legs...

She immediately began to wander again...where to? She...doesn't know...she never knows...

Her sword's tip tapped against the ground with each step...

It was blunt and useless as a slashing tool...but clearly banged up and well used...even stained in a few faint red splotches

The girl didn't drop her guard at all through the whole conversation..digging her heels into the ground as her sword shook in her hands slightly

Once he was gone she'd drop it..but not fully let go of it

"I didn't need your help..I would've been fine on my own."

Her knuckles a faint white as she squeezed down on it as hard as she could

"Stay right there.."

She wasn't afraid to swing if she had to...which would mean...bad things...and not for her

If there was anyone who could intervene...now would be the time...

She had wandered into the path of someone else hiding from the world...but only one of them was afraid of it

'Or what? Why would I listen to you, huh?'

She backed up a step as the crazed man moved towards her

Her grip on that little swords handle was as tight as it could be..

Out somewhere in the wilds...wandered a young girl..all by her lonesome

Nothing but her training sword to support her

And yet she seemed to be surviving just fine...
But today...she would...run into trouble

"She'd be around 13 this year...I'm sure she's out there somewhere.."

"Even so, I'm more worried about the kid..I haven't even seen her since that day..."

"Maybe...but she seems happy now..I don't know she'd react if she knew everything that happened.."

He stretched out a little...grumbling softly to himself as he continued to answer the god

...he'd much rather they just leave him

"She doesn't remember how things used to be..."

His blade was...thick...and looked to forged from stone rather than metal

"I don't think it's my place to be the one who reminds her."

"Psh...me and Gaol...it's complicated.."

He just heaved his blade up onto his shoulders..clearly a creation of the Forge...but how did he get such a thing-?

"I could tell her everything now if I wanted to...but I just..don't know if that's my decision."

...well this was new...but he treated it the same as he would any other time...
