My experience running the triptych pamphlets by @bradkerr.net and @skullfungus.bsky.social spoilers: it was awesome 🎉
I've created printable (and editable) pregens of all 20 Cairn 2e backgrounds. These took way longer than they should have.

Hello new followers. I am Amanda P. and I write adventures for roleplaying games including Cairn, OSE, and Mothership. I wrote a solo journaling game called Pilgrimage of the Sun Guard.

I'm reading the OSE "Demonic Grimoire" and laughing at how gross it is. This book is a splatterhouse good time. It's almost done and I'm feeling very chuffed about my contributions to it and the whole thing in general.
New blog post that attempts to span all types of challenge-oriented games, rather than just talking RPGs like I normally do. But there's plenty of RPG stuff in here, too.
Discussion questions included at the end.

The first in a series describing how I developed my B1 sandbox (& how you might develop sandboxes more generally) for play, beyond the initial minimalist sketches of locations. First, I describe how you might determine the order of operations by which you'll detail each location in the area of play.

A decidedly unfunny, non-jokey newsletter for April 1st, it's The Explorateur! This month's issue has a landslide of design links including a call for volunteer judges for The Awards.
Oh! And there's a non-rpg link all about book cover art rates 👀

⚡ NEW BLOG POST! I'm back talking about adventure design, this time laying out a mental model for 'energy' inside of an adventure. It's a simple and effective way to categorize elements inside of the scenario and look for stagnation and chaos. Check it out! ⚡

I wrote up a diceless resolution system that uses only your hands! It is useful for RPGs played as you tromp through the woods with your kid.

I did this piece while binge watching three episodes of the Sopranos. The mind works in mysterious ways. Inked traditionally by yours truly 2026.
Just start with Pirate Borg. Save some time. ❤️
A photo of two business cards on a wooden table—front and back. On the front is an octopus logo and the text ”Bläckfisk Publishing, blackfiskpublishing.com”. On the back is a minimalist story game called ”A Day in the Deep”.
We needed new business cards for the convention season. Everyone always looks at the back, so we felt we needed to put something there too.
Come get one!
Definitely a secret door. I didn't notice blood when I was there. But might have been trapped. That laser definitely sounded dangerous.
If you write adventures of any kind, and you think puzzles are neat, you should check out this panel from GaryCon.
It's got @directsun.bsky.social , @josephrlewis.bsky.social , and @bradkerr.net talking about what makes good gameable conundrum.
