It's delicious, and ketchup is only for children.

Having a dog is fun because you can sing songs to them about how gross they smell and they just love the attention

President would require a constitutional amendment.

Ah! A means for rationalizing/legitimizing bad behavior which they don’t want to change. Yes.

I’m surprised startup guys are willing to engage with a framework like cynefin. I would have thought it too cerebral/academic.

This space seems more affected by broader societal angst.
And, ever since Covid, I’ve seen people far more willing to expose their neuroticism for all to see.
Also, I think many of the less angry folks bailed, so the angry people are more prominent.
This is all supposition.

Sam Altman May Control Our Future – Can He Be Trusted? | Hacker News

Posted the New Yorker story on Sam Altman to Hacker News, where Ronan Farrow popped up to answer questions.

It reached #3 top post then got nuked off the front page, never change HN mods!

(Yes, HN sucks, no need to @ me about that)

Sisterhood is powerful and I am so over the moon to be here with the capital-s sisters! All my forty-six years in San Francisco, San Francisco has been blessed and goosed by the Sisters, who got their order together the year before I arrived, and as long as the Sisters continue to minister to this parish of queerness, San Francisco will still be San Francisco, no matter what the tech oligarchs do.
Sisterhood is powerful and I want to give a special shout-out to my brother Steve Solnit who in the 1990s was one of the people who built and maintained the Reggie System, the City of San Francisco's HIV+ and AIDS client registration system, coordinating 90 organizations serving impacted communities and individuals.
I love the Sisters, who are my neighbors, I love that this year's event is titled love thy neighbor, I love that love thy neighbor means fuck ICE and no one is illegal. I love that we're in Dolores Park, which from now on should be Dolores Huerta Park, I love that I got to grow up here where gay men in particular taught me how to banter and what's funny and that we're all born naked and the rest is drag.
Sisterhood is powerful. Now that I'm a saint, I'll stop having impure thoughts but I'll still hope the Sisters will give me some beauty tips. Defend democracy, because democracy is a theology that every soul matters and we are all endowed with inalienable rights, including the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of lipliner.

And I say this as someone who uses it daily, as I’ve found many helpful applications. But the mass hysteria swirling around it is bizarre.

If AI is so evidently a great thing, why is it that so much of its adoption is imposed on people?
If it were so evidently great, people would be falling over themselves to use it.
