These endorsements reflect what I believe: we get the best results when we work together. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished—and ready to keep building on it for District 6.

I’m so thankful for the growing coalition supporting this campaign, including labor partners, environmental advocates, and community leaders who care deeply about making progress for our region.
This project exemplifies how local government can dramatically improve people's lives when we do our job - delivering real connections, real access, and real opportunity. And we did it!
My deepest gratitude to all everyone who made this all possible. I'm excited for what we can do together next!
This weekend, Victor, who is now 20, and I stood together and watched that idea become real.
I've spent the better part of my professional life working, and sometimes fighting, to make this happen.
You could say this train is my "other baby" :)
From concept to reality - almost 20 years in the making! Light rail across the lake is now here!
In 2008, when we started working on this project, our kiddo Victor was little, and light rail across Lake Washington was still just an idea.
That’s the approach I’ve fought to bring to my time on the Council, working with cities, community partners, and advocates to move solutions forward.
There’s more to do, and I’m committed to continuing that work.
The challenges we’re facing — housing affordability, homelessness, and keeping our region moving — are complex. They require persistence, partnership, and a willingness to stay in the work until we see real results.
I’m excited to share that I’ve received an early endorsement from @theurbanist.org!
In their endorsement, they wrote: “Balducci is the kind of leader we look to in tough times.”
I don’t take that lightly.

I’ll keep fighting for the values we share, from protecting reproductive freedom to standing with immigrant communities, and will keep working every day to make sure local government delivers for all our communities.
Thank you to the 48th Legislative District Democrats for your early endorsement and continued support!
As a proud lifelong Democrat—and long-time member of the 48th before redistricting—I’m honored by your trust.
Being your Councilmember means more than casting votes. It means showing up, driving progress, and standing with our community in moments of celebration and reflection.
I’ll keep showing up for District 6.

I’m grateful to everyone helping prepare neighborhoods, small businesses, and riders for what comes next. Mark your calendars for March 28th and join me when we finally connect Eastside light rail to Seattle and the rest of our regional transit system!
I was also excited to see partners out and about educating the public about how to ride transit, specifically, the light rail line opening across Lake Washington next month! I’ve been a proud part of this project from the beginning, and after years of work, this milestone is nearly here.
This year, I visited the Japanese American Legacy Bridge in Bellevue, a project I was proud to champion and which stands as a reminder of what happens when fear overrides our values — and why we must always defend civil rights and one another. nwasianweekly.com/2025/10/clau...
We also honored the Day of Remembrance this month, which commemorates the signing of Executive Order 9066 that initiated the forced removal and incarceration of approximately 120,000 Japanese Americans during World War II, including many from right here in East King County,
I celebrated Lunar New Year at several events, honoring traditions that strengthen our community. In addition to enjoying cultural performances, great food, and time with family & friends, Lunar New Year is a reminder that our cultural diversity makes our County such a dynamic place to live.
Several events this month reminded me of what public service is really about.
Workers keep our county running, and they deserve leadership that has their back. I’ve partnered with labor to build major infrastructure, protect frontline workers, and create pathways to family-wage jobs.
Together, we’ll keep building a King County that works for the people who make it work.
* Safer communities — with proven approaches that make public spaces, including transit, safe and welcoming.
* A county government that works — transparent, fiscally responsible, and accountable to you.
This work matters deeply to me, and I’m ready to keep delivering for you.
I’m running again to keep fighting for:
* Affordable housing — so everyone can call East King County home.
* Reliable, connected transit — finishing what we started while strengthening bus and rail service across the region.
But we also face serious challenges. We must tackle affordability, confront the climate crisis, and keep our communities safe and connected.
I’m excited to share that I’m running for re-election to the King County Council!
Together, we’ve made real progress — delivering light rail, opening the Eastside’s first permanent shelters, and securing major investments in housing, environmental protection, education, and arts and culture.
Know that what we accomplished doesn't end here. I am committed to carrying this momentum and work forward. There is so much we will still do together – and I look forward to standing and working with you on what comes next.
I want to thank the thousands of individuals who donated, hosted/attended events and fundraisers, knocked doors, made calls, and did countless other small & big things to advance this campaign. I am so grateful and humbled by your support and the confidence you placed in me and our vision for KC.
In this moment, I am filled with immense gratitude for you and all of our dedicated supporters.
Our message was simple: government has to work! That means delivering on affordable housing, high quality public transit, public safety, and more. It's a message that resonated throughout all corners of King County and one that I’ll continue to work toward every day.
This was a close race – and I am so proud of the campaign we ran and how many people throughout King County placed their trust in me with their vote.
With most ballots in, it is clear my colleague Girmay Zahilay has been elected as the next Exec. I called to congratulate and wish him all the best as he begins to transition into this important role. The success of KC depends on his success as Exec, and as a continuing CM I am committed to both.
