NYC Mesh is so cool, just a network of people trying to bring reliable internet to others. I love checking in and seeing the map grow.

Two-panel comic comparing internet models. Top panel: A massive blue "SUPERSTORE" building with "Everything is here" in an empty parking lot. Bottom panel: A lively street with small shops, colorful awnings, trees, and people socializing at outdoor tables. Caption: "Brought to you by Kagi's Small Web."

Adoption of the Neovim plugin for OCaml We recently released a new NeoVim plugin for OCaml. It has been live for a few months now (you can find the announcement here if you are curious), and we would like to know what you think of it. The next step is to improve the plugin in order to better meet the expectations of the users. To do that, it would be very helpful for us if you could reply to the following poll. Do not hesitate to share your thoughts about the plugin, both positive and negative, and any ideas are also welcome. We are ...

if you're using OCaml and neovim, the editors team would like your input here:

Did I accidentally make Ceefax for wind farms? 👾

This is a new toy that I created over the weekend, a 128x128 LED matrix display that shows the live status of any wind farm in Great Britain that's on the balancing system.

The For You feed is going to be down while I'm upgrading the CPU from AMD 7900 (12 core) to AMD 9950X3D (16 core).

This should increase how many users it can serve by ~50%-100%.

If all goes well it should be back up in an hour or two.

I believe Ken Burn's new documentary on the Revolutionary War covers this breiefly in the first episode, but its nice to know there is a focus point on the history of this event. Adding it to my checklist.

Split meme comparing programming languages: Left side shows a man in a Hawaiian shirt sitting alone in economy class labeled 'Functions in JavaScript'. Right side shows two people relaxing comfortably in business class with headphones labeled 'Functions in OCaml', suggesting OCaml functions are more luxurious or superior.
