If Obama wanted to stop pollution and greenhouse gases, that's an overreach of government power. If Trump wants to stay in power forever as King of America and use the secret service to kill enemies, the SCOTUS will dig through their paperwork to find a clause somewhere that says that's okay.
These mechanisms should have been leveraged from day one, it’s naive to think we need new laws to prevent these abuses by law-enforcement. What next, a super-constitution to protect our “rights” because we couldn’t be bothered to fight for them under the old one?
Are we now expecting the cops that voted for, shielded, and enabled these Klansmen, to arrest and support charges for said Klansmen? Too little too late, and we all know IF a conviction is secured it will be overturned with support from the police unions. If they can be charged they should be shot.
Well if they had any fear of accountability, real accountability, they wouldn’t act this way. If they thought any second gunfire could erupt from any one of the buildings surrounding them, they’d be a lot more respectful.
