Local councils are in desperate need of funding but this isn't the way to go.

Council tax has long been recognised as regressive as it doesn't reflect wealth accumulated over time. It's not right that a that a house in Hartlepool is taxed more than a luxury flat in Battersea.

The stats are heartbreaking—nearly 1 in 3 women experience violence in their lifetime. No community is free from this reality. It’s a global crisis, and it’s getting worse. Survivors need justice. Perpetrators must be held accountable. It’s time to stop looking away.

💫 Enjoyed speaking at the Student Action Against Poverty event at the University of Manchester. Shared my journey into the policy sector and how students can build a career—staying informed, getting involved locally, and taking action. Great to see so much enthusiasm in the room!
