I wrote and posted this to Instagram a couple of days ago and it became my most-read poem ever. I’m honored I get to feel big feelings alongside you all. I’m posting it here too and want to use this space more consistently. Hello friends ❤️
A bedroom with a bed and two lamps. All three walls are bookshelves from floor to ceiling.
We visited an open house in Harlem tonight. Gorgeous place and this is my dream bedroom.
Imagine sleeping surrounded by all those books. They come with the house (if you want).

Two years ago I had my agents ask authors seeking blurbs if they had used LLMs in the writing or research for their novels. If yes, then I won’t read their books. I know I could be lied to. If I am lied to, I will LOUDLY retract my endorsement. I hope more writers might adopt a similar policy.
Widen your gaze and look upon Lebanon.
Nearly a million people have been displaced by Israel in the past 3 weeks.
They've been told not to return.
That's ethnic cleansing.
The last time Israel occupied Southern Lebanon, Hezbollah was born.
What horrors will be unleashed now?
Two books for spooky season:
COFFIN MOON, Keith Rosson: Best modern vampire story ever (although it's set in the 70s).
THE TWISTED ONES, by T. Kingfisher: It lures you in with chatty good humor (especially about NPR Pledge Week) and a lovely dog...then slams the door and bites you in the dark.
"That's the point – the smudge, the rough line, the hesitation - that's what makes my work come alive." - Jim Lee talking about why DC will never use AI storytelling. "AI doesn't dream, feel or make art, it aggregates it."
@jimlee.bsky.social speaking very passionately at Retailer Day. #nycc

To my fellow cishet dudes: when we are quiet about supporting the trans community, the only voices anyone hears are the Charlie Kirks of the world. Don't let accusations of being "performative" or "virtue signaling" shut you up - that's their whole point. Our voices are needed now more than ever.
If you thinking of attending this festival Don't

Shifting homeless individuals into long-term institutional settings for humane treatment through the appropriate use of civil commitment will restore public order. Surrendering our cities and citizens to disorder and fear is neither compassionate to the homeless nor other citizens. My Administration will take a new approach focused on protecting public safety.
The White House, via yet another executive order, has announced a plan for the sweeping removal and subsequent detention of people experiencing homelessness.
Instead of investing in proven solutions, the administration is doubling down on cruel and ineffective policies that strip people of their rights, lock them into dangerous institutions, and punish them for having nowhere else to go.
Okay, well.
