The top edge of my eyeglass lense made the cut just below my eyebrow. The black eye is an additional parting gift from the experience.

My eye is just as operable as it was before I bashed my face into a wall at walking speed. No apparent cracks/breaks in the ocular socket either.

Me—being me—closed the locker and was distracted a moment thinking I was closer to a turn in the queue heading out than I actually was. As I believed I was clear I planned to continue walking making the turn when WHAMMO—I face planted myself right into a wall.

This past Monday evening I had just enjoyed a spin on TRON: Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom and making my way along the exit queue. I saw another guest retrieve their belongings from a locker and failed to close it.

Took a brief adventure today and visiting a branch of the public library system here. After the better part of 40yrs I am bedecked with a library card again (I can already hear @missingvolume.bsky.social, @sfinsfevents.bsky.social, & maybe @kevidently.bsky.social shouting “FINALLY!”).
