This is a fascinating read. I’m reminded of the charters of Charles the Simple in which he honours his first wife Federuna in grants concerning her marriage portion. I wondered if Otto’s charter of 950 did the same?

I have just submitted one article to Anglo Norman Studies and another to Early Medieval England and its Neighbours. Fingers crossed they are accepted.
