In 2016, Ken Paxton had the audacity to sit at my table and break bread with my family knowing full well that my son is trans, then SIX YEARS LATER wrote an opinion stating that families like mine shouldn't exist. Within days, a CPS investigator was in our home threatening to remove our children.🧵

The USA has had two major plane crashes in the last 4 days.

The USA had previously not suffered a major plane crash for 16 years.

‘DEI’ programs have existed for decades.

So what was it that changed in the last 14 days or so to suddenly cause so many crashes?

In case you weren’t aware, government grants that are multi-year have an evaluation each year to ensure all of the criteria are being met before another year of funding is dispersed. So they could just prepare a list of everything they want to stop funding when a cycle completes. But they aren’t.

White House Budget Office Orders Pause in All Federal Loans and Grants The full extent of the order was not immediately clear, but the directive sent to government agencies on Monday threatened to paralyze a vast swath of federal programs.

We are so fucked.

Amid ICE raids in Washington, know your rights On July 23, a post on the Wildfire app, a localized alert app for college campuses, alerted the UW community that there was an ICE raid at the UW Link

As this ramps up again, know your current rights. Tell them nothing, record their activity if you can, and if you know someone they are looking for - no, you don't.

I love this so much!

At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions.

This choice mirrors the late Justice Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.

It’s also so easy for event management and groups. UGHHHHHHHHH. I actually use it quite a bit for the “buy nothing” group.

Two backpacking groups, one for women first timers and one specific to women and being overweight.
My selfie sisters ❤️ which we have started a discord but damn I’m bad at that. I will miss them the most tbh. They are why I hang on.
There is a peloton group where I print out monthly workouts.

Yesterday, President Biden finalized a rule to remove medical debt from the credit reports of millions of Americans.

The number of Americans with medical debt on their credit reports will be zero — down from 46 million right before he took office.

Why isn’t anybody talking about this?

I have to leave Facebook. One of the things I’m struggling most with is there are 3-4 groups there I absolutely love and those same groups cannot be found here. :(

The weather image again of the Ice Storm "dildo" that has changed form -- now it looks less like a penis with a shark fin, because the fin has morphed into a back-tilted bit, so now it looks like a "rabbit vibrator."

Had a work meeting today. Only thing on the agenda: be mindful of your time and energy through the end of the year. Don’t schedule the meeting. Don’t dive into a project that will require you to put it on someone else’s plate when you’re done. Be mindful of THEIR time and energy.
