Sorry, best we'll get is a re-recording of a vhs copy of a science show aired on Discovery or 9/11.

The only fluctuation there that isn't within margin of error is the non-maga republicans. How/why the fuck did they swing back in favor?

Let's do some math.
3.3% YoY inflation and 0.5% economic growth in Q4.

So with some oversimplification, inflation that quarter is 3.3/4 = 0.825%. It doesn't take a rocket economist to see inflation outpaced economic growth.

In fact, inflation was 165% the economic growth.

You certainly seem to be implying that because they had a period of time with an industrial revolution that is in the past that... *checks notes* they are no longer in the midst of building a modern industry.

That's a profoundly stupid position to hold.

Do you understand the concept of a conceptually framed time period? Because this isn't the game Civilization where your country gets a bonus to output that suddenly stops after 30 years.

I never said they weren't. It's a matter of meeting their demand temporarily. They have been criticized for this before and said "tough shit we need it now and will decommission it quickly." There's this concept called transience. Look into it.

Are you honestly trying to make the argument that the Chinese just stopped innovating and building out their industrial capabilities in the 1990?

Dude they are. You say look at the charts but.... are YOU?

Today the solar panel production and installation in China has immense output. We're talking over 1 gigawatt per day of installed power. It will take 25 years but that's enough to meet the world's demand for power and they show no signs of stopping. Coal won't be needed any longer.

Solar takes a long time to ramp up. It's a new technology and it involves many more steps than dig coal, burn coal, spin turbine. There's a reason coal was used as the first source for generating electricity - it's easy. The Chinese just chose it to meet demand knowing it would be decommissioned.

Maybe it'll be like infrastructure week or healthcare week and this end to the ceasefire will just never come.

They won't win with real votes, that's for sure. I think they're planning to win by not having a legitimate election or by implementing a dictatorship.

Yeah the 25th won't save us because it's basically the same process as impeachment and conviction, just the impeachment is a medical thing voted on by the cabinet - and the cabinet is a bunch of sycophants who are enriching themselves so they have no desire to turn off the money spigot.

Yeah I’d love rooftop solar but I get quotes of $30k for an 8kw system.

No.

I had 6 different installers come by and do the quotes for me. 4 companies sent used car salesmen who knew nothing and couldnt answer straight forward pricing questions. But they knew how to finance!

Uhg.

It was a huge wiff by the solar firms to not market panels as off-the-grid, anti-government, self-sufficient to appeal to the rural diesel smoking crowds.

That’s one of the big reasons why they’re manufacturing and installing so much solar power. It will ween them from dirty power sources but not overnight. They even build coal plants to meet demand knowing those would only run for a decade.

Seawater is corrosive and eats electronics. At least wind farms keep the delicate bits out of the water.

2/2 Now the tertiary effects are beginning to take hold. Wealth controls the government. Women want fewer children. Children's education is replaced with wealth idolatry. Society is on the brink of collapse.

1/2 Our entire society has been structured by capitalism to push sociopaths into the upper positions of every hierarchy. We've seen the secondary effects of how that causes businesses to steal rampantly from everyone, even the people who made the business successful.

I mean... im not exactly offering to dip my toe into the cesspool of twitter. But I do comment on nextdoor with my real name and tell people to stop being idiots (usually politely).

At some point we will have to influence those people into becoming normal again. That won't happen while they're in the fascist echo chambers.

Well, the GOP sure does love to rail against anything good until it hurts them personally. And the US Consulate in Cuba ran out if diesel for their generators.

So it makes sense now.

DHS has a huge slush fund north of 11 figures. He's telling them to use that. I think.

I recall Russia manufactured humanitarian crises in the ME to cause immigration to Europe. Initially Europe welcomed them and now they’ve got such massive political backlash that almost every EU state has 10% or more protofascist parties.

This won’t end well.

Anyone notice how quickly the GOP forgot that this is just a special military operation? They no longer dispute the use of the word war.
