Reading in detail, I should make clear that this policy is *pretty good*. I want better, but foundry does deserve a cookie for trying.
I mean, you can set the policy against it even if you don't have the resources to enforce that. But you can't put the shitty genie back in the bottle once the marketplace is already full of "approved" vibe-coded garbage.
I feel it is telling that all my feeds are remembering how amazing Sinners was, and occasionally someone pops up to say the other movie was pretty good. I'm sure it was! It was probably pretty good.

Like, I really care about paying my artists and contractors fairly. But I do that by being clear on rate negotiations and checking in proactively on whether they need increases. Tying their comp to the rest of project finances would be putting a lit fuse on the relationships.
I assume this whole thread is sub tweeting the Yazeba's controversy? With no opinion on who's right (multiple articles and I still don't know enough), the idea of offering contributors anything but a flat/hourly rate seems insane to me. Without a gangbusters campaign, it just sounds like disaster.
Armed with the knowledge that it was possible, I went to try redactle for the first time, and did likewise. Pretty sure this one's impossible for people who never hit the topic in school, though.
