DDOTβs Traffic Management Center will remain fully staffed until the storm passes and will continue monitoring conditions across the District. Our team is working to quickly respond to any signal outages or roadway hazards, such as flooding.

Strong winds may impact traffic signals and roadway conditions across the District tonight. If you encounter an intersection with a signal that is not working, treat it as a four-way stop and report the issue to 311.

A Wind Advisory is in effect until midnight, tonight. DDOT encourages residents to use caution while traveling and watch for debris or hazards on roadways. If you see traffic signals or streetlights not working, please report them to 311 so crews can respond quickly. πhttps://311.dc.gov/citizen/s/
While the tornado watch has been lifted, weβre still monitoring for the potential of downed trees. If you see a downed tree in public space, please report it to 311. We prioritize hazards that impact major roads, critical facilities, & trees that have fallen on homes. πhttps://311.dc.gov/citizen/s/
Your safety comes first. Plan ahead, arrive at your destination before the storm begins, and avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather. If you see roadway flooding or hazards in public space, report them to 311 so crews can respond quickly.
π 311.dc.gov/citizen/s/
During and after the storm, DDOT will coordinate with navigation and wayfinding apps to communicate road closures and hazards. If you encounter flooded roads or unsafe conditions, avoid the area and follow posted detours or alternate routes.
Be advised that heavy rain can quickly create dangerous driving conditions. Never drive through flooded streets or standing water. If you see water covering the roadway, turn around and find a safer route. Even shallow water can stall vehicles or hide hazards.
Severe storms are expected this afternoon. DDOT encourages motorists to complete travel early and stay off the roads during the storm if possible. Limiting travel helps keep roads clear for emergency response and keeps everyone safer.
Please report issues to 311. πhttps://311.dc.gov/citizen/s/
