Never forget, that voice doesn't know shit, and done is better than perfect.
Next year will be the 10th anniversary of this joke still not being dated. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ssj_...
“Trapped you, didn’t I, Chuck?”
Yes, it’s good. I started watching during the TV writers’ strike twenty-odd years ago and kept watching after the strike was over
Thank you for the explanation. I had originally jumped to an Event Horizon-style demonic singularity conclusion. Libera te tutemet ex inferris!
two related thoughts: i suspect that many tech companies get away with utterly ratshit, incompetent leadership because you've got a fat middle section of competence holding up the roof
AI is an existential threat to that middle section of the workforce, and will lay bare a lot of incompetence

I didn't previously know of Najwan Darwish's "Who Remembers the Armenians?" so here it is for anyone who was similarly unaware
This 1 is second only to “who remembers the Armenians” in my poetry canon

Damn I gotta read The Widow’s Son

Destroying an oasis' palm trees doesn't just take out the tree

Source: I watched Trial of the Incredible Hulk (featuring Matt Murdock/Daredevil!) on its first run in 1989 AND put it on DVD in 2003
I don't want to shoot videos
I don't want to post tutorials
I don't want to show my process
I don't want to pour varnish
I don't want to turn my canvas
I don't want to record my screen
I don't want to cultivate parasocial relationships
I just want to make pictures and shitpost
@jparish.bsky.social got my copy of Super NES Works Vol. 1 today. Good stuff! I never knew about Carrier Air Wing, the not-a-sequel to UN Squadron. Also I had forgotten the joy of reading a full-color book with actual publication design in this Kindle-and-iBook world. Molte grazie!
