We won.
Tesla Chicago is closed.
Their new location is in a ghost town. They sacrificed visibility to thousands/day--& proximity to the other luxury car dealerships--to get away from us, because we'd turned their brand ambassador location into a liability.
Organizing works.

Ozzie Guillén announced himself a Gabriela Jaquez fan and plans to take his family to Sky games this summer to show support, that's about the biggest stamp of approval you can ask for in Chicago

There are so many raves about Breaking the Waves, it is so crazy that it hasn't been produced in chicago or nyc yet!
One of opera's major problems is not having recordings available for many major new operas.

I saw The Listeners twice, and the brilliance of the libretto and the music only struck me on the second viewing. There was too much going on with the plot and visuals to fully take it in the first time.
I love the Proving Up recording, but all of the performances in Chicago sold out!!

I'm surprised Missy Mazzoli operas haven't become mainstream American culture. Hopefully Lincoln in the Bardo and The Galloping Cure grab a lot of attention!! I'm so excited to hear them some day!

I brought my parents and they loved it too. It was their first time back at the Goodman in 12 years and my mom said my dad talked about Holiday all week.
Interestingly, it seemed like everyone sitting around us in the balcony were young adults with their parents! So

An overconfident Team USA getting embarrassed by a much smaller country in front of a global audience is their last and most beautiful tribute to the American military yet

billed as a lighthearted romantic comedy, the Goodman Theater's Holiday has so many quietly devastating lines and moments. Such a stellar theatrical experience!

There's something deeply obscene and broken about the fact that Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are bombing elementary schools in an illegal war of aggression, and there's still a sense among the opposition that it has to be explained in terms of gas prices in order to get American voters to care.

Imagine the people we could feed and shelter, the children we could educate, the sick we could heal, and then ask yourself how anyone who thinks they are a Christian can support any war, really, let alone one started for no other reason than to satisfy the bloodlust whims of a decrepit madman
