For some reason people were convinced players making a lot of money and wage structure was the issue at the club, and not who specifically was getting paid a lot

It was over for the club from the moment they decided they’d rather sign 4 meh players on 50k/week wages instead of 1 good player making 200k/week
Well the hit rate on actual serious first team transfers isn’t terrible. The hit rate on “highly rated” teenagers signed for ~£5-20m on 8 year contracts is abysmal
I’m cherry-picking here but I don’t think either of these is just bad luck. You have to consider game state a bit. Putting up #s like this just feels like they’re shooting away because they have no idea what else to do
Well that’s not true Kieran. They all sign the players they want and when they flop, the manager is held accountable
Can’t wait for the relegation battle next season

My first purchase once I got a full time job and my first paycheck was a Nintendo 3DS and 3 Pokemon games because of this. And I still play Old School RuneScape because of these rules too
Arkansas just discovered that Nikola Jokic may have 4 years of eligibility remaining
You try and bring pro players back to college like Alabama did
In a couple years we’re going to find out that Toronto had a decent goalie on their books this season who they traded for $5 in GAM and a bag of potato chips
Filip Jorgensen is available
It took the Naz teams four years to hit this point. This crew got here in two
Kind of like the Premier League or other top level soccer, basketball is just more fun when you’re watching not quite the best players play. Everything in the NBA just turns into iso ball because any actions you run get shut down pretty quickly
Goodison is also cursed. One win there since the 2017 title clincher
Or in the NBA’s case, replace a low effort all star game with a low effort international tournament
Kaufman-Renn went off at Mackey too. Michigan just did a much better job on Smith/Loyer/Cluff that game
To be fair nobody else know what to do against a low block besides win a set piece and set up a wall around the goalkeeper
Unfortunately goalkeepers don’t have a very high ROI so I don’t think the club will buy a new starter this summer
Michigan fans couldn’t even stand the guy
Hunter Dickinson may be a valid answer
It’ll be a good episode of Welcome to Wrexham next season at least
Delaying a restart?
Is it though? I don’t think anyone besides Chelsea social media influencers thought any of their signings was a good idea
Just appoint IFS.ai manager tbh. Nobody competent is going to take the job and this way the sporting directors get the ultimate yes man
They play better but an ill timed defensive calamity leads to the winning Arsenal goal seems likely
The city of Toronto needs a break from sports after the Leafs game today, then this
We’ll take Keaton Wagler for next season
He’s basically an NBA player already with the number of games he misses due to load management
