Sorry to add to the inundation but among those not mentioned yet: Magazine and The Fall. More to the point, a good reminder to me to listen to more Caravan

The front cover of The Rutles aka Meet The Rutles. A collage of four covers spoofing Meet The Beatles, Magical History Tour, Sgt Pepper and Let It Be with the Rutles in place of the Beatles and titles changed.
Will the Pre-Fab 4 make my top 5 in #5debutalbums7579?
Maybe not but I'll have some more tea and think about it
Grid of ten labelled spring wildflowers with photos and names (e.g., snowdrop, daffodil, bluebell, primrose).
Spring flower spotter!

And not many sleeping dreams now until the Futures & Pasts Festival in June (though slightly puzzled by the Eventbrite algorithm telling me I might also like the Wellness Weekender)
Not a bad alternative to be fair
It was a "pinch me' moment seeing those reunion shows, I was just too young for first time round and never thought I'd get the chance to see them
The front cover of Real Life, the debut album by Magazine. Four disembodied white heads with distorted features and garish lipstick and eye shadow float on a dirty grey background. The band name and album title in bright red.

So this is a contender for my top 5?
You're telling me
And everything is where it ought to be
(well it will be by voting day)
Good old Pete Ubu, as my autocorrect insists, stands an excellent chance of being in my top 5 also even against very tough competition
120 today.
Lost track of how many times I borrowed this from the local library. Something new to discover every time
Transferring to a bigger theatre in September I see, so I might have a chance of a ticket then
My bad joke aside I'd love to see both shows
Great that Paddington Bear and Into The Woods have won big at the Oliviers but let's hope nobody pitches a show that brings those two together
I think you're right on the encore (it was a while ago though so my memory not quite up to it)
For my 40th I asked for a riding lesson because I'd never sat on a horse. It didn't occur to me until I arrived that it would be me and a group of 10 year old girls
A black and white cat and a small dog lay on a grey carpet facing in opposite directions a few feet from each other and in similar poses mirroring each other

I remember seeing Elvis Costello support Bob Dylan at Brixton Academy. EC played hardly any of the hits but in faithful arrangements while BD played all the hits but in, well you know. EC went down well. BD did too but mostly with those who knew what to expect.
I'd want to start with Mott as they were the first band I ever bought a record by. I'd like to see Comus come on to freak out everyone tripping to Hawkwind. Want a mix of solid rockers and folkies. I'd enjoy the Bonzo Dog Band because I'd be 4. Family are in there for my big brother
If my maths is correct, that budget gets me a pretty good line up:
Mott The Hoople
Fairport
Bonzo Dog
Family
Hawkwind
Comus
Rory Gallagher
Slade
Traffic
Hi Richard

An annual message from The Wire
Publishing an independent music magazine is tougher than ever. We need your continuing support

Great album. I remember them doing one of Tim Burgess's Listening Parties for it over on you know where (though it must have been quite a while after it had come out)
To be fair they all struggled with the pressure of the general knowledge tonight. I certainly wouldn't have done any better. You really need to bank your specialist subject
I'll listen to it with fresh ears knowing that
Bonus #FallFriday points
Morning Andy, have a good one
Endgame For A Laugh
I saw Matthew Kelly in this first time round at the Oxford Playhouse in the 1980s when he'd just come off Game for Laugh, which of course was much more similar in tone to Beckett
