Yes, this was before 3D Hot Rally was conceptualized.

There is also a preview for Rainbow Islands which was going to release for the Disk System in March 1988, but the game would instead release as a standard Famicom cartridge in July 1988. The screenshots shown are just from the original arcade game.

While browsing around for Famicom related material, I stumbled upon some interesting pre-release info. On the left is racing game "3D Rally" by HAL Labs set to be released for the Disk System on December 20, 1987. On the right is the RPG "Bible 1999" by Imagineer which never released for Famicom.
FamiWiki cake and a copy of Formation Z in the corner.
3 years of a website existing deserves a cake, right?
A fan-made Waffle House VRChat world.
Maybe it's for the best they ignore it, cause they wouldn't be able to comprehend any of it.
VRChat is interesting cause despite its growth and internet cultural influence, you rarely if ever hear about the platform in the media.
Hey folks! We have an anonymous release today of a very early Punch-Out prototype! There's a lot to see in it (but not hear); check out the @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social video here!

Yeah that checks out.
Did people forget that you can just straight up use original discs for these disc-based console software emulators? Like here I pretty much had to use an emulator since I lacked the means to play on hardware at that moment.

Mistakes happen, nothing of this sort is ever flawless and I applaud the lengths to address situations like this. The great thing about mistakes is that it itself is a learning experience for both you and the audience and it leads to a better understanding than before.
Homer Simpson in the middle of a particular kind of bar.
Cocoron in the middle of all the spooky games:
GCCX is easily one of my favorite retro game based shows as to my eyes its a window into a different game culture. I feel like if they want to try again, they should just straight up translate the JP episodes as is and throw out the localization changes that Retro Game Challenge brought.
I hope we see an English fan translation for this game since it's unlikely an official English translation will be made at this point.
The Automatic Pause prompt from Virtual Boy Wario Land but with one screen rather than 2 showing the screen is in 2D rather than 3D. https://support.nintendo.com/jp/nso/expansion/vb/index.html
So it looks like Nintendo does have an internal "2D mode" for the Virtual Boy - Nintendo Classics application. This was found on Nintendo's Japanese support web page and makes you wonder why the heck they can't integrate this to the public app.

Now this is the kind of stuff only collectors like myself really care about!
Space Invaders when played on the Super Game Boy.
Yes, you have the option between the Game Boy and SNES versions when played on Super Game Boy.
As an aside, the Game Boy game released before the SNES game in North America.
Now I want to play that game!
Yeah the US version of Space Invaders is notabe for its Super Game Boy functionality but I'm mainly referring to a game that could require progress being made on Super Game Boy rather than Game Boy which to my knowledge none of the official examples do that.
A really cool idea in concept but maybe its for the best it wasn't put into practice during the lifespan of licensed software releases.
I'd be interested to see a Game Boy where at some point you are asked to switch to playing on the Super Game Boy and it does this in response.

Honestly I find all the ways to show Game Boy images to be interesting but this particular look really itches that need for something close to the screen used for the original system.
Roo the Kangaroo posing in front of Mario and Luigi from the movie.
I did re-watch the first Super Mario movie and yeah I think overall I prefer it over the sequel but both are fun times to be had.
Me holding a Wii copy of Galaxy 2 in front of the poster for the Galaxy movie.
Forgot to post about this here but yes I did go see the Super Mario Galaxy movie and... at least the references were cool!
Not much to a proper structure, it's even looser than the previous movie. I still had fun watching it though.
One of the co-admins of FamiWiki @panchambro.com is best known for being an admin of Nookipedia but that is where the connection to that wiki ends. FamiWiki is still its own site and we aren't currently affiliated with Nookipedia.
Ok it looks like I have to make it abundantly clear in regards to FamiWiki and its affiliation with other wiki projects. No, @nookipedia.com is NOT affiliated with @famiwiki.net. FamiWiki is hosted by The OpenWiki Project but outside of that we are very much our own independent wiki site.
