Lisa Blunt Rochester became the first woman and the first black candidate elected to the US Senate from Delaware this year!
Per ROK Dem Party sources Yoon and the military put together a special unit to arrest Lee Jae-myung (DP leader), Han Dong-hoon (PPP leader), and Woo Won-shik (Natl Assembly speaker) without any warrant. Yoon is politically done and over if this is true.
IMHO the coup botched not because it was not well thought out. Yoon lacks political allies. His only ally is the military, supporting his rhetoric of freedom/liberalism targeted at so-called pro-North Korea anti-state forces. He has no political allies within the ruling party.
South Korea's national assembly passed a resolution declaring martial law invalid
The “golden age” of US-ROK-Japan relations that DC has been pushing so hard the last two years sure seems fleeting.
Colorado narrowly voted against establishing a State Constitutional right to school choice this year.
The amendment, which needed 55% to pass, only got 49% and failed in several rural counties that heavily backed Trump (albeit overperforming in Democratic areas).
Mapped this earlier and forgot to post here. Slotkin managed to win her senate race! I’ll eventually do this on a more granular level when/if I have the mental and emotional bandwidth to do so. And when data is accessible.
The race was called for Baldwin so here’s a map to showcase that as well. Again the race is called… but not fully reporting. But again I’ll (hopefully) be mapping all this stuff later in more detail.
Another simple map to showcase a win this time for Jacky Rosen in Nevada since her race was called! Again I’ll eventually do this stuff on a more granular level. But for now I’ll be sticking to simpler maps.
Made this a few days ago (I’m sure the vote totals are wrong now) but just wanted to post to showcase Alsobrooks Maryland senate win!
If you saw the previous version… no you didn’t. Sarah McBride won election to the US House this month making her the first trans member of US Congress! Like and repost this one too please 😅
His only hope in the primary would be getting Trump's endorsement.
I think they all get the 50 votes, I just can't see Republicans standing up to Trump
