“It was a little pricey, but one of my favorite tinned fish influencers strongly recommended it“ is a real 2026 sentence that I expect you to take seriously

Glamour shots of some pots from my second glaze firing. There's lots to like but can see so many things want to adjust. The to do list expands 😅 #pottery #ceramics

My hunch is no and that publicly funded catholic schools (in some provinces at least, yes you heard that right) is a big part of it.

Does the weirdness of American white catholics extend to Canada too?I've been wondering this lately as someone who has little interaction with the church these days.

The other thing is that in a gig economy there is no degree that promises a good career anymore, not because you should have studied computer science or social media management instead of history or Russian literature, but because there are no careers

Agreed. If the Alto project were cancelled, I have no faith whatsoever that the feds would do the right thing and spend the funds on, say, renewable energy infrastructure and public transit, or that the provinces would cooperate. With Alto, we're least getting something positive for our money.

Short on time, got to go help my brother today. This was the start of our hike yesterday. Another good wander around the local forests in the hills around Dublin. #Hiking #Photography #EastCoastKin #Dublin #Ireland

Lads, it's fecking awful right now. But at least the fat parrots are having more wee babies.

If the whole thing was on the verge of getting killed due to behind-the-scene actions by Sutcliffe, Tierney, the BIA or someone else, transparency and honesty will work in your favour in the upcoming election. None of those people vote in your ward.

What defines success here? No one complaining?

The important detail is that parking is already restricted during these periods. This removes the only times when parking lanes would be supplanted by bus lanes, which makes any talk about this being a "pilot" for "gathering data" useless. Congrats on your parking spaces I guess.

Why was reducing the time of day restrictions even further than the city staff's plan necessary to get this up and running?

Less than 5 minutes on a end homelessness plan fund. Hours on "should streets have sidewalks".

FIFA is such a ridiculous organization. Their demands for Montreal as a host city included:

- cancelling the F1 Grand Prix (!)
- monopolizing the city's downtown for 2 months
- retrofitting the old Big O stadium with a retractable roof, natural grass, and new private elevators for FIFA guests

Classics friends may enjoy this. Some of the Latin pronunciation is a bit weird, but the essence is spot on! 😆

This is such an obvious no brainer to anyone who's been near lansdowne on an event day.

The context here is that Gruyère cheese sponsors the World Curling championships and you get a huge brick of cheese for medaling

TBD if the size is right after firing but I think with some tweaking and practice this will work very well.

Now I just gotta figure out feet....

I've been struggling with handles for a while, trying to figure out how to make something that was interesting to look at and nice to hold and fit my forms well. And I think I finally cracked it! These are slab built from thin (I think 4mm) slabs and are hollow in the middle.

Project Hail Mary is a beautiful brilliant film. But molecular biologists be warned there's a deeply disturbing scene midway through when Ryan Gosling's scientist places two eppendorfs directly next to each other in an otherwise empty unbalanced microcentrifuge & sets it spinning with wild abandon.
