I look forward to your review!

whatever this was got removed, and I'm kinda bummed - I'm also curious what's up with fly.io based on this, as they came up tonight while I was trying to sort out the tiniest bit of hosting for an app
A tattoo of a super mushroom and fire flower with a curved stem on my inner arm
I got my first tattoo today! It’s super nerdy and also has some fairly deep meaning for me beyond what I can get into on a social media post.
So much appreciation for @xolasartstudio.bsky.social for such an amazing piece. 🥰
It's taken me ages but finally, put together _something_ of a mess of a personal website again. Also can't believe I didn't think to do this with opengraph / favicon stuff ages ago.

Whether slack and/or discord, the last few places I’ve worked had an ex-employees chat that we generally congregated in.
This is the first time I’ve seen a news article written about one, though. #unprecedentedtimes #aitookmyjerb

sure is weird to try and hunt for a job when all <vague gestures> this is happening
It's like a mental assault on every level and I've felt sore and tired for a few days now
that they have kept their relationship intensely private to the point that this is how we find out is probably the best sign they might actually make it
anyway, rules are rules, here is the exact moment she fell in love
Congrats! That’s awesome!
It really is :/
I enjoyed working with you so, so much. Even if only for a few months, I’m so grateful for it.
It’s so weird to be part of layoffs that are like major tech news apparently and not like when it was Indeed, where it was just yet another layoff in tech.
Weird to hear people debating it all and seeming to disregard the humanity of those cut.
I know we aren’t like friends or colleagues but I remember your joy at a thing or two I made on Glitch.
It’s kinda nice to read this thread today as one of those impacted people.
Block was a really great place to work for the past four months. Unfortunately, I’m part of today’s 40% layoff.
If you need an old hand at web stuff, who has staff software engineering experience at multiple international corporations, hit me up. ❤️
I’m so so glad we got to work together, even if it was only for four months. 💜😭
Relatedly, here is a tiny GoFundMe for rent relief for families in a mobile home park. They’re not asking for much. Please let’s get it fully funded.
No thanks, I have enough news for now
get equipped with just money
this is the stupidest thing and it absolutely undid me
Love running a review of my Vim configuration and being told I have settings that have been unnecessary for like 20 years
Then realizing I’ve used Vim for over half my lifetime
Me: dang, I can’t remember this key piece of info. Ugh.
My brain: sorry, best I can do is this 90s commercial jingle
Also
Me: ooh, I can’t remember that awful person’s name anymore. That’s awesome.
My brain: actually it’s <name>
Why am I like this
This is why we're moving to a nontraditional education approach - my children refuse to enter a traditional classroom because after a few years of trying to confirm, their AuDHD brains are just like "Nope, this ain't it"
It's a lot but I can't force them, so we find a new path.
I'd sooner give up just about all other streaming services. I enjoy a good show and all but where am I gonna learn about the latest in 3D printers and woodworking and game reviews anddddd
I was pretty disappointed when I saw that.
The pain
one time in Skyrim, my kid killed a chicken in the middle of the night and was warned that they'd been witnessed
they killed another chicken and were told that the witness had been slain
maybe this is the sort of motivation for this example
it's why it's one of the two hardest things in programming, after all:
caching, naming things, and off-by-one errors
Combo lock showing a combo of 991
I couldn’t remember my luggage combo but I forced it closed, knowing I could brute force my way in at the hotel. I started at 000, then 001, 002 etc
This was the combo.
I love it, and also as a resident of Albuquerque, it makes me extra happy.
The bookstore in the opener is my closest B&N.
The Sprouts is literally a half mile from my house.
So fun on top of an already amazing show.
My two corgis, side by side, looking almost like one is a smaller clone
They look related but they’re not of any shared parentage and like five years of age apart 😂
I just went to buy one and it’s sold out. I’ll have to stick with my actual corgi. 😂 😭 😂
