The collection covers three kinds of materials:

The first is the official records from the lower court(s): the trial transcripts, evidence, and procedural documents that travel with each case up through the federal judiciary.
The second is the briefs: the petitions, responses, amicus filings, and supporting appendices submitted by the litigants themselves and by interested third parties. These briefs are the raw material of American constitutional argument. They capture the perspectives of individuals, corporations, civil society organizations, and government agencies pressing their cases before the nation’s highest court.
The third category is the opinions (for cases that are heard by the Supreme Court): the ultimate decisions reached by the highest court in the United States, demonstrating the logic and reasoning of the court.

Iris Long, Scientific Mentor to AIDS Activists, Dies at 92

It’s hard to express how important Iris was to ACT UP’s scientific development. She was the catalyst who started it all. Iris Long, Scientific Mentor to AIDS Activists, Dies at 92 www.nytimes.com/2026/04/17/h...

Yes it's the Round of 32 in the Open Cup but this has been a hell of a week personally, so thank you, City.

I'm pretty sure bringing up Kansas during a completely unrelated STL City broadcast is not allowed. Revoke their broadcasting.

In an active lawsuit against the FDA, the state of Missouri is arguing that access to the abortion drug mifepristone has reduced teen birth rates, thereby harming its political representation in Congress. It’s an argument being made in federal court not just on Fox

I used explaining how confusing NWSL streaming is this year as a metaphor for why a unitary government reduces complexity. I'm so relatable with the youth.

Football: St. Pauli coach comes out as gay, criticizes game A youth coach at Bundesliga football club FC St. Pauli has publicly come out as gay and strongly criticized attitudes towards homosexuality in Germany's most popular sport.

"For a long time, I was uncertain whether I would be harming my career prospects by coming out. But this game of hide-and-seek was costing me too much strength."

Finally got to meet Aman earlier today, after around 1.5 years of being in touch for this piece. A very lovely afternoon.

Folks, Josh Hawley is asking people to email AbortionDrugHarms@hawley.senate.gov …..
Would be a shame if plausible subject lines actually contained the text of screenplays or the Gettysburg Address

Maybe we should end the practice naming things after individuals and instead name things after the collectives that bring about change and all that is good in this world. Full stop.

Awful. A teenager, dead by suicide in an ICE detention center. There is now a crisis of suicide inside the detention system; I have never seen anything like it. Suicide has happened before, but they were very rare. This is the third or fourth this year.

I usually know when some school is reading a book of mine because I will get messages from teenagers on social media that go like: "Hey, I really liked your book X, but can you tell me, is it in first person or third person and who would you say are the main characters?"

For Abbott Elementary fans: I always say I desperately wish I was energetic and determined like Janine but am basically the stereotype that Jacob is. I thought I was getting better until I realized I literally have the same set of posters they used in his class in the last episode. 😅

What's so viscerally upsetting about this is that making up words and attributing them to real writers, alive or not, is essentially making and selling deepfakes of the writers. It's incredibly violating.

I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves.
Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone.
That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins.
If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after.

I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own government’s repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds.

I support neither imperialism or dictatorship.
