I'm not a huge fan of GiHub being Microsoft property, but, like, c'mon

I think this graph lacks the context. For instance, Github Actions were introduced in 2019. Also it's not clear how good/detailed tracking was before that. There were certainly incidents before 2019, but they're nowhere on this graph.
"the soldiers of the most moral army in the world" what a sentence (applied to any army really)
AIGEL released sign language version of their "1190" album. Really cool idea!

Soviet "Chemistry and life" magazine cover from 1984, featuring hand-drawn heart with an arrow going through it and another arrow on top of it that looks like a feedback control loop.
my parents were chemists so it's the "Химия и жизнь" for me :)

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! I wrote a review for a Mexican-Irish fusion restaurant in Jersey City, but also wrote about American identity in an empire in decline ☘️ johnpaulbrammer.substack.com/p/everyone-i...

David Lynch saying ‘One day, the sadness will end. But I don’t think today’s the day.’
good for Zach and Michael. I'm sure it was a tough call but Smiling Friends isn't a show you can phone in. so much of the appeal is the constant surprises and novelty. 3 strong seasons is a good run and they'll both make more funny stuff. I hope they get to enjoy a break first.
i built an entire x86 CPU emulator in CSS (no javascript)
you can write programs in C, compile them to x86 machine code with GCC, and run them inside CSS

as a kid I was always a bit disturbed by this short. A girl gets so lonely she loses her grip on reality :) sweet but also heartbreaking

A downy woodpecker sits on a spruce on a sunny winter day. "Ahh... Febuary" it says. Close up on it correcting "Febrary" then "Febberary..." then finally "Frebrury"

I did not, unfortunately, but I wanted to upgrade anyway, glad they decided to revive round as well
my first pebble round fell apart just like that :) (right about when Pebble was discontinued, so it felt somewhat appropriate). I hope the glue is a bit stronger this time 🙃
The key thing here is that the query relates to the container, not the window. AFAIK there's no way to check if element is of a certain size in pure CSS without @container.
I think the idea is to use container queries with more specificity, this example just doesn't reflect that. Example from MDN:
```
@container sidebar (width > 700px) {
.card {
font-size: 2em;
}
}
```
Conversation with Claude about tracery parsers, and it advises me to look at kate comptons parser, to which i reply “but Doctor i am kate compton”
Doctor says, 'Dont worry, parser design is simple. Great programmer Kate Compton has written the parser you seek’
