Can someone explain to me why the fuck the Elgin Marbles are still at the British Museum?

Etsy just went fur-free thanks to the efforts of grassroots activists, yet another major victory in the fight to destroy the fur industry, which has a disgusting legacy of colonialism and continues to perpetrate egregious animal cruelty and environmental destruction.

The Daily Wire, a right-wing media farm propped up by fossil fuel money, wants you to think that the transatlantic slave trade was not that bad. Don't fall for it. youtu.be/wvXR8HA423c

A billionaire can get what they want with one donation to a political party. The rest of us must fight for years to get even the most basic rights recognised. Money destroys democracy, more than any other cause. The first step towards a better world is to stop the rich buying political outcomes.
For me, the humiliating theater of post-9/11 TSA security has always been a sign of our increasingly authoritarian times.
We shouldnβt allow ICE goons to erode our dignity and liberty any further. Yet another reason to take the train rather than fly
β[Netanyahu] said he'd been waiting 40 years for an American president to join him in attacking Iran and in Donald Trump, he finally found somebody stupid enough and reckless enough to actually do it.β

Early this morning I was a guest on a stream hosted by the incomparable Pete Kelly from History Time talking about some excellent historical fiction films. Enjoy! www.youtube.com/live/CSQgzFx...

Nah I think they understand very well that retvrning to preindustrial agriculture would require a massive die-off of billions of people and they simply do not care as long as those people are not white
We just wrapped principal photography on our next film, THE VAMPIRES OF NEW ORLEANS. Check out a bunch of behind the scenes stills and rough cut clips over on my Patreon! www.patreon.com/posts/and-th...
Can we dress Andrew up like this for his trial?

Even weirder is that everyone considers "civilization" to be the proper and natural state of humanity when it's only existed for 3% of our history. Class, the state, and violent domination of non-human life might instead be an aberration of this brief 10,000 year period of climatic stability.
It's also weird how we fail to morally interrogate the concept of "civilization," often defined as the presence of drastic class inequality and complex ecological exploitation, stuff that I would argue is, in fact, unambiguously bad.
We often don't think about how long the transition from hunter-gatherer life to what we now call "civilization" was. The invention of writing is closer to 2026 than it is to the beginning of the Agricultural Revolution.

A friend of mine just told me, βThe right pretends at Puritanism but is secretly perverted. The left plays at perversion but is secretly puritanical.β Too fucking real, man.

I spent my late December in godly labor (as should you) making this video, where I answer your questions about time travel, mental health during the Civil War, environmentalism, my family heritage, and whether or not history can be "apolitical." youtu.be/m3yiEuyuwOs
Booooooo! Emotion and dreamweaving will always be the most important part of filmmaking and I raise all that snarky cinema sins esque nonsense with the sheer asskicking power of a whale jumping out of the water to murder a bunch of capitalists. Accept Eywa into your heart Charles
