To be fair, drivers mostly hate other drivers too 🙃

You were 14, ten years ago today? Congrats, you're aging well ;)
Fair point. Actually, it doesn't matter which one you book. It doesn't change anything except what it shows on screen when you sit down. I didn't know your one existed… I always book the one I showed you :)
Either way, you keep your passport ;)
That's the wrong appointment type. You want Übertragung.
Bring your old and new passports and a photo with QR code. They'll take your details and you go back a few weeks later to collect. You can request express service (+35€) if you want.
But they'll never take your passport. You leave with both
Also, no buildings to catch fire, no stairs to fall down.
Plenty of roads for people to get run over on, but that's their silly fault for not being in a car ;)
of course not.
at primary school, a friend of mine had a nurse who'd sit near him in class and occasionally attend to him. not sure what the medical problem was, but it can't have been easy for his parents.
It made me laugh becauswe it was her rule, and she was so happy to have found a loophole!
how would your daughter's condition have been tracked and cared for in the olden days, before smart devices existed?
my friend is a head teacher. she has an apple watch, because she banned phones in her school 😂
Spending on "reckless war" could have saved 87m lives, says UN.
But Trump doesn't care about saving lives, and doesn't care about actual people. He only cares about money, and power.
And about his kids and minions making money on Polymarket.
Airport hotels are simultaneously terribly soul destroying yet perfectly amazing!
I always get to the airport so early that once I went to the wrong airport and was able to travel by public transport across London to the right one and still have time to spare!

I get totally freaked out at the thought of being late.
I missed a Eurostar once, and am still traumatised 20 years later (even tho the nice staff put me on the next train, no extra charge)
Picture of the week - Odesa…😢
I remember seeing that at Fulham. The birds won't be shooed off. They know what they're doing.
I once saw one travel one stop, then it jumped out. Not at all bothered by the doors closing on it.
Which one did you get? My mum's cordless is terrible. (I reckon my dad picked it up at a car boot sale and it makes lots of noise but doesn't really do much.)
I've got a Dyson here, but even though it's great, I'd never buy Dyson again because he's such an awful man.
I feel the same way if I ever accidentally click on an advert on FB!
Nooooooooooooo!
Any news?
I'm generally not a fan of live tracking because it's so often unhelpful. DHL here sends a message when the package is 15 mins away. Not sure if I prefer that.
Other than that, I try not to think too much about delivery schedules, because it just drives me a bit crazy!
I was walking home today, and a teeny tiny fluffy dog looked at me, expectantly. I said hello and he ran to me at full speed to dispense licks and receive scritches. Then he ran back to his humans to continue his walk. Super cute 🥰
When Angela Rayner underpaid £40,000 in stamp duty, Richard Tice said it was "morally completely indefensible” and she should resign if she had “any moral decency”.
Now we learn he set up four shell companies that let him avoid paying £100,000 he owed in tax and to then transfer the cash to Reform
Some of my very favourite films are Australian!
Muriel's Wedding, Priscilla, Strictly Ballroom
❤️
Perfect summary. Thanks, I was having trouble keeping up.
He won't be happy till he has all the money.
BTW the Bürgeramt will never take your passport away.
Also, you'll be happy to know they finally fixed the reservation system, and there are LOTS of appointments available these days. More staff + more online service means you can take your pick!
That's interesting. For the UK passport, you have to sign a piece of paper and submit a photo of it. Then send the passport alone. No PDF, no cover letter. And you have to mail it to UK, they mail it back.
Good luck with Deutsche Post! :)
Omg what a job! I always wondered about that.
I had an insurance form rejected once. I'd copy-pasted my sig and they wanted hand signed. In full (not just initials) in 32 places!
And I thought: it takes a very special kind of person to take a job as a signature checker in an insurance company 🤪
Eep! Not just you 🫢
@jim.londoncentric.media is this on your radar? Odd story. Nimbys auto generating their furious complaint letters. Doesn't say what happened next, since he was in court about it.
Fair point. I subscribe to London Centric but nothing else.
