I have more to say, but I'm currently fully dressed to hit the gym to lift weights - a lifestyle change treatment option that has helped bring me *some* relief.
I am determined to go to the gym every day (today is day 53 in a row....!!) as a way to prepare for the battle I fight every month.

In June 2025 a paper found that 9.8% of menstruating afab people suffer from PMDD, and that number jumps up to 31.4% if they have ADHD (like me).
That is nearly 1 in 3 women with a menstrual cycle and ADHD have PMDD. www.cambridge.org/core/journal...
ONE IN THREE ADHD MENSTRUATING PEOPLE!!!!!
🧵
PMDD is not a disorder of irregular hormones. While onset can develop as you age (like me) and your body/ hormones change, those regular changes are not the cause.
PMDD is an irregular hypersensitivity to normal, healthy hormonal fluctuations.
I share this because so little is known about PMDD, and perhaps another person out there is suffering deeply during their cycle (or their partner/ family member's cycle... because I am ashamed to admit my loved ones have suffered, too 💔) and thinks it's just "bad PMS" or their changing hormones. 🧵
Getting diagnosed gave me hope. My years-long "depressive episode" has a name, and although little is known about the disorder and treatment options are extremely limited (and really not appealing to me), I can take steps to find relief. 🧵
It's scary to share this, but a few months ago I was diagnosed with PMDD. I had heard of it before, but I didn't know what it was.
I read the diagnostic criteria (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK279...), and I have every symptom. It suddenly made the last 3 years+ make a lot more sense. 🧵
At a time when everything feels like too much - too much noise, flashing lights, big feelings, stimulation, grief - reading is the best activity. Books have been my life preserver for the last few years.
Your electricity bill is going up because data centers are raising demand, not because your utility started scaling out some renewables. Pass it on.
The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.
as a child I thought it was wildly unrealistic that Sims would immediately give up on all their goals and dreams if a single dirty plate was left on the ground but now that I’m an adult I understand that that was the most realistic part of the game
The American people were lied to about Vietnam, with tragic consequences.
The American people were lied to about Iraq, with tragic consequences.
The American people are being lied to again today. We cannot allow history to repeat itself.
Look folks, I am only going to utter these words one time ever and only in response to this one particular tweet from 2019: Tulsi is right
Jfc he actually did it. Maybe this will be the crime that actually gets him removed.
I’m so upset and afraid.
And I am so ashamed to be an American. The shame and guilt are too much.
Depressing time to be a law professor whose entire job hinges on law existing and being meaningful in some way
Yeah. What else is there to say but this?
On another platform I saw a vet mention how learning to march is completely engrained that it becomes second nature, and the fact that these videos show them _so_ out of sync made them believe they were marching poorly in silent protest.
The embarrassment has *layers*
"Sorry, my Mum said no"
Monument Valley, for sure!!
These are real images of exoplanets.
Four super-Jupiters, imaged 10 times over 12 years around a star 133 lightyears away.
These are real, giant worlds, out there in the dark.
And we can see them.
I. Can’t. Stop!!! The way the story has unfolded is mesmerizing. Details I glossed over 35 hours ago MATTER. It is wild!!
I'm at the part of Blue Prince where progress has drastically slowed, I'm pouring over books and notes, flinging myself against the RNG wall, regretting some of my room upgrade choices (and frustrated by some of the offerings upon learning about what could have been).
Yet, I persist.
Ohhhh that's added to my must read list now, thank you
OH MY GOD YES! I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE NOW
This was my experience as well. I'm still not trying to read many spoilers, but someone will mention something that totally changes the game for me (makes it a lot easier, for instance) and I feel grateful for reading the lil spoiler.
This has me DYING from laughter. It's legitimately a great joke.
Except she isn't fucking joking and it's real.
Ergo, reality is a joke. Might as well get a laugh in sometimes. Fucking hell.
A drawing of a perfect phone that only has three buttons on it, one of them says IS HE DEAD one of them says AM I BROKE and the other one says RELAXING PUZZLE GAME
I invented a new phone to help save time in the morning
Absolutely, and leaders who listen with compassion, validate the complaints or fears, and gently steer the conversation towards solutions when appropriate are far more likely to maintain that culture.
