Keita Takahashi said 'To a T' didn't sell well enough. He moved back to Japan with his family, unsure if he will stay in the industry.

I’m so frustrated!!! I really hope I can find an obvious solution tomorrow when I’m better rested

And I tried adding the -col suffix to all the objects in my blender file so that the collision would be automatically added. The mesh moves but doesn’t collide properly with the floor.

Very frustrating session today. I tried importing my textured mesh as a GLB file into Godot, only to spend hours trying to figure out why the collision wasn’t working. The model keeps falling halfway through the floor. If I use a collision shape, the model stops moving.

Started working on the shopper npc today! It picks a random point on the map to navigate to, rests 10 seconds, then picks a new point on the map.

Next up: i want the player to trigger it to move on approaching and pressing the E key (E for excuse me) lol

This has been a great year for the engine, but there are still a lot of things we would love to do.

If each person visiting our website donated €5, we could hire 5 more developers to work on Godot full-time.

I've identified which game I want to make next and its set in..... a grocery store!! lol

Today I setup a placeholder environment in Godot using CSG boxes and got basic character camera and movement up and running.

Similarly, this is how my mom lost “their cat”. They would feed it, play with it, but never bring it in.

Well, the neighbors young daughter did let the cat inside their house and now they have a new cat lol

I think if you want it to be, this is your cat now 😆

I started playing cult of the lamb for the first time today and I’m OBSESSED!!!! So fun. I’ve been sleeping on it

Instead of going to sleep at a reasonable hour last night, I opened up Abelton and started working on music for a game that does not exist lol

I added my little buddy to the scene. The hand-drawn face texture is a bit too blurry for my liking, so maybe I would want to avoid these sorts of textures with this pixel effect

I know nothing about shader code but I found this really great youtube video that shows you how to get a pixel art look in 3D in Godot! The creator even shares the shader code on itch! So cool

maybe there isn't anything I can do since a circle is just an ellipse in perspective lol

i'm not quite happy with how the hand painted eyes get all stretched when you look from the side but I didn't quite know how to get around that

i thought i wanted this little guy to be 2d but when I realized they were just made out of primitive shapes, I figured I could bring them into blender and make a simple model

this evening I worked on designing and starting to rig this little guy 🌼

i'm trying to find my next project idea through play / following what i find interesting so we'll see how this goes!

The course covers 2D and 3D development in the engine! I was really enjoying it last year but just fell off. They give you a lot of challenges so you're not just following a tutorial blindly which I feel helps with learning.

Yes!!! I would love to play test!!

I'm actually not sure yet! Over a year ago I purchased a Godot course by GD Quest but never finished it so I think I want to loosen up with that.

ALSOOOOO

I just took a look at your pinned post - OBSESSED with how your project is coming along!! It looks so good!! Can't wait to demo. Congrats!

Updated pinned post as there's so many new faces here so hello everyone!
I'm Chappu and I'm a solo dev working on a handpainted third person horrorgame about an all girls ghost club.

This is what it currently looks like in engine and below you'll find my gamedev recap of everything I've made so far

I still have lots of time to think about this, but I'm unsure if I want to try making the 3D assets for Little Farmer Chef myself or hire a contractor 🤔

Day 3 of working on Little Farmer Chef:
Worked on the logic for planting and growing seedlings. On first click the ground is fertilized, then watered, then seeds are planted, then after 15 seconds a seedling appears.
