#3/5 By bridging molecular and neural phenotypes with cognitive and behavioral outcomes, this work helps to decipher the heterogeneity of autism and may in future inform the personalized support that each autistic person and their family wants and needs 💙.

#2/5 The LEAP InovAND cohort brings together 5,549 individuals: 2,061 with autism, 62 with intellectual deficiency, 2,551 relatives, and 875 non autistic people. For 2,531 participants, including 800 autistic people, we have genetics 🧬, and for 875 participants we have 🧬 and brain imaging 🧠 data.

#1/5 Our new study is out in medRxiv. It is a major collaborative effort that brought together researchers and experts by experience from across Europe, including psychologists 🧠, psychiatrists 👩‍⚕️, geneticists 🧬, neuroscientists 🔬, and, importantly, autistic people 🌈, relatives 👪 and caregivers 🤝.
