The wall of bricks changes color the closer it gets to the waterline, going from red to orange, then yellow and green, and finally to a blue-ish green and a dark gray near the waterline.
No joke, this picture of a canal wall is one of my favorite photos I took during my recent trip to Venice, just look at that color spectrum
