This is why I haven't missed Bluesky all that much. I have no idea what Ned is referring to and it seems like it could have been fairly easy for him to be more specific.

To tell the truth, I'm not entirely convinced I don't often behave as a hotheaded and blundering asshole now and deserve to be considered as such. That's at the age of 62. But I most definitely was an bigtime asshole when I was 25 years old. Maybe that's a wee bit of the problem here... 2of2

In unprecedented move, DNC official to spend big to take down fellow Democrats David Hogg, the DNC vice chair, wants to take down some safe incumbents.

Not sure. It's complex. IMHO (and WTF do I know?) it's indicative of splintering and in-fighting within the Dem party when some people think solidarity signaling is now the main thing. Attached the "live" link versus a screen cap, as it's more informative. 1of2

And the members of this genre, what are they teaching us? What is their lesson?

"Satire is a lesson, parody is a game," said Vladimir Nabokov. So you tell me, young Dustin, what is it that you have taught any of us here?

Implicit sarcasm (if that's what this is?) exemplified here is just a shit take in these times. You're not cool. Just fucking stop it.

When exactly did Harry Enten decide to switch his brand to seeing how much of DJT's shit he could eat in public with obvious enjoyment? FFS, I can't keep up anymore.

But what point did he go on to make? Was it some sort of pro-Trump statement?

Perhaps not the "Let It Be Me" you're thinking of. And we look all the way back to his past Tuesday.

Kind of a shame to associate that song with the orange one, but whatever works. Loved this band and DavyJo too. Thanks!

What was your answer to the New York Times Pitchbot dude?

Can't help but think he isn't smart enough or paying close enough attention to have figured this out by himself. Shows they're concerned, too.

Does anyone else feel like journalistic coverage of the DOGE employee massacres suffers from failing to focus on the forest by reporting on so many trees? I'm overwhelmed daily by what seems like the reality that these massive firings have no rhyme or reason. It's just random and savage butchery.

The party that doesn't verify your identity before sending you US military secrets wants you to get a new passport to verify your identity before you vote.

Let that sink in a moment.

Seems like it. Why would a journalist at his level of accomplishment and in their right mind make this shit up?

And considering the circumstances, they could easily be lying their asses off.

Not sure. Not an expert, or even medium-informed, as regards the subject material. Seems like it would be a more clear cut case had he pilfered or through sketchy means acquired the info, but seems like it's a different situation when he "acquired" the info because they were all dumb asses.

It was his sense of civic responsibility and patriotism. Something the idiots who were using Signals for this high-level conversation are clearly devoid of.-2/2

Point taken. Probably true. In this day and age the legal jeopardy would no doubt be pumped up out of a sense of retribution. The laudable thing about his behavior and the ironic wackiness of the administration's top figures' behavior is that it wasn't the law that stopped him from reporting it-1/2

It's not a "can't" as much as it's a "won't," and, honestly, for some very good reasons. The journalist in question just needs to call Nick Fury here on his bullshit.
