Idk man I’m having some strange shower thoughts tonight I guess. Thinking too hard about it when I’m not even a writer myself. Just trying to understand how superhuman y’all are lol

It did and it didn’t lol. Like we are just one person. Even being open minded to other perspectives I find it hard to think about how writers can fully immerse themselves in each character enough to know for sure their own real life biases aren’t painted into said character.

In games and shows I tend to focus on one character and really dive into their overarching story. I often can’t fathom how a writer can ‘become’ so many different characters and keep them interesting and not just an NPC in the protags story if you will.

I got one for ya. How do you keep different characters from becoming…stale? Boring? Similar to another?
Meaning making sure their personality stays the same across the story and doesn’t either become bland or change unrealistically?

It’s mostly a film thing I believe. (Film meaning all media for entertainment purposes). It’s “mesmerizing” to look at a moving spiral imagery to depict someone, the viewer/protagonist/etc being hypnotized.
