Well, would you look at that, that lynx hunter from my last post actually turned out to be quite friendly, even too much in fact! :P
He didn't even take off his belts, that animal. Absolute caveman behaviour, shameful! ...at least his fur would be soft and warm I guess <.<

It's a tad clichΓ©, but I got the same with the bread over there being sweet. Though granted my sandwich standards are on the level of those meal deal ones from Tesco.
But I suppose we also miss what we can't have. Can't get a good currywurst here. Or those donuts from that shop in Helsinki.
A display of a well preserved object resembling a bucket, with a triangular handle and rough, decayed texture. The object is mounted upright in a glass case within a modern museum setting.
A Neolithic well bucket made of lime bast and a willow handle, dating back some 7000 years ago.
Lime bast fibre is a strong and flexible inner bark of a lime (linden) tree that was, for example, used to make textiles or ropes.
Found in a well in Eythra, dating 5100-5000 BC. π§΅1/2

Local rat archaeologist finds out about experimental archaeology, gets slightly too into it.
These're great though.

You're getting the whole Top of the Crops. When you ask me about "country music," it will always be Top of the Crops.

I am still extremely disappointed about being one year too young to have gone to the last time The Wurzels played at a local place.
Heard the "proper" versions while out tonight, but now I'm stuck waiting for the stomach pains to pass. So, it's the better Wurzels covers of songs time.

Small digs of a cave hidden beneath an 11th Century castle in Pembrokeshire have so far uncovered evidence of early humans and animals - including the bones of a hippopotamus which roamed Wales 120,000 years ago.
The University of Aberdeen will now lead a larger five-year exploration of the site
Cave bear <3
Fortunately for Lani, something as mesmerising as a camera will only be used for the first part. Though, verbal instructions may be necessary...
And thank you kindly-
Thankem~
I've been asking myself the same question. Still haven't gotten an answer.
Also because this adorable smol bean *must* be shared: @ometo.bsky.social was kind enough to get some gift art of Kuveli, drawn by @berensreverie.bsky.social.
And, I mean, lookit the little feller. Thanks to the Wantaelian visit, he's becoming the selfie generation 12,000 years early.
Thankem, fellow Aprilite.
I would make a witty comment about star or birth stones, but I don't know shit about those. Colleague was talking about them at work the other night, and I just had to shrug and go "obsidian and amber are kinda pretty."
Thanks! No doubt I would still be there, if they hadn't started asking me for rent.
Thanks- at this rate, starting to get dizzy.
Thankem-!
I have gained an year, apparently. I now have 26 of them.
Every summer, Sakara feels the memories of his Mah and Fah slip ever further away. Their familiar scent, soft fur and gentle words becoming fuzzier. They lived hard lives back then, but he'd go back to see the one last time in a heartbeat.

Fascinating creatures. Reminds me you can get sculptures of metal that's been poured molten into their tunnels, which... seems exceptionally cruel, but the end sculptures are something.
Earthworms are neat. Harmless lil' guys. Meanwhile I noticed this morning that the ants have found a gap in the door, and they have subsequently breached the perimeter. I would seal the gap, but it's not a possibility, so... I will unfortunately be taking more hostile actions.
If you see this, quote a picture of you with glasses.
Well, if his folks are like us Mesolithic folks, I'm sure the a small gift will bridge the trust gap. Take off some jewellery and hand it over, as a gesture of goodwill. Especially since he's... quite the desirable hunting companion.
3rd and last (for now) neolithic critter!
This lynx hunter is still uncertain whether he can trust you or not, so he'll keep his spear and axe ready while he decides.
Btw he wears clothes only when it's too cold or wet outside, and considering how thick his fur coat is that means almost never. :P
Keeping with the Sakara and Conor theme from yesterday: There are other things aside from Conor having a good heart, which Sakara appreciates in him
For one, he is very attractive. The source of his gay awakening even. And they have similar... interests
Lovely lewd piece by @wildkitfox.bsky.social
Yeah, thatβs probably the most sensible way to go about it. Maybe starting with footwear, after talking with a friend a while back about how Sakβs folk probably have something close to moccasin. Which arenβt a bad way to learn some of the techniques and materials.
