Never in my life did I think I would be devising a plan to help my retired parents financially survive if the Social Security administration collapses, so if you know a millennial, check on them because we are not okay, yet again.

Calling someone a political theologian? Sometimes, but it’s usually trying to make boundary lines between systematic theology and the political.

Whenever someone says this, which seems to be often at Princeton, I immediately have about 600 questions. What is their motive in upholding such strict lines between disciplines? What are they invested in protecting and why? What and where is the threat to them?

I look forward to the day when I don’t have to hear things like “that person is a political theologian.” The binaries still protected in the theological world between theology and ethics/politics is a bit tiresome and doesn’t make much sense to me these days.

I have officially fulfilled all righteousness of the Christmas family get together obligations and now my long anticipated 10 days of house rotting can commence. Praise be.

I never knew just how cathartic lifting weights after work could be. 10/10 recommend.

The best thing I ever did for my mental health wasn’t meditation, drinking more water, getting more sleep, or exercising more (though that all helped!), but what really made the difference was getting true hobbies outside work. They can be such a relief in difficult times.
