Its still extremely humid, but no as aggressively hot as its been the rest of the week so I'm actually enjoying being outside. Dora hates it when I'm happy, lol.

Its raining lightly and I'm sitting under my patio umbrella enjoying my coffee and staring at my plants like the coastal grandmother I aspire to be.

But Dora hates the umbrella and won't lay under it so she's laying by the patio door staring pathetically wanting me to come inside.

Like. I'm legitimately on able to even have a garden this year because I got laid off at the start of summer. Its not that the garden takes so much time, its just containers on my deck after all. But working takes up SO MUCH TIME I never had the energy to do much else.

Ok I'll stop now, lol.

Back on Bluesky for one day and I'm already doom posting lol. Politics and gruel.

Like I'm not even talking about *waves hands* NOW. I mean just...who decided we needed to pass on free will and become cogs in the machine? If I get a time machine I'm going back to deal with those fuckers specifically.

Well. As for me...I'm still unemployed.

I've spent most of my summer obsessing over my little garden, battling algae in my pool, being bossed around by Endora, and going to therapy weekly.

So. Pending financial ruin aside, not bad.

So. Along with ~ 6000 of my colleagues at Microsoft/LinkedIn, I was laid off on Tuesday.

I was a solid Galaxy girl until they offered me a purple flip phone, lol. I was powerless against it.

I'm just very attached to having a phone that folds into this cute little square. Even though the folding is what causes the problems 🙃

I really enjoy my Z Flip 4, even though I'm well aware that it's a piece of crap. But now I need a new phone (because Z Flips are garbage) and I can't decide if I want to get another Z Flip (because they are so cute😭😭) or a Galaxy.
