What an awesome start to the morning here in the #Falklands. The sun is beaming down & hardly a breath of wind. We have the Oosterdam visiting today (approx 2000 pax) so they have a perfect day for their visit.

Boxing Day in the #Falklands rocked as the Royal Falkland Islands Police and veterinary department were called into action as a king penguin decided that it would be just the day to take a mooch around Stanley, even wandering up past the Victory bar before being apprehended ๐๐ง

I never get fed up with visiting the Jackass penguins (Magellanic) and this evening I think I met one that could shout louder than me . To me itโs a real #Falklands sound๐ ๐ง
Itโs a typical summers day here in the #Falklands (sun/rain & hail with the possibility of thunder & lightning) as we welcome three expedition tour vessels to Stanley. I hope all guests from the Ultramarine, Seabourn Pursuit & Hondius have a great day ashore (despite the weather)

It has taken many, many years (& a shed load of dosh) from the initial idea, to the #Falklands first purpose built care facility to be almost at the point where it is ready to throw open its doors. It didnโt look that big on the drawings- but my gosh, itโs huge ๐
Itโs starting to feel a little more like Christmas here in the #Falklands. Even the weather has finally figured we are not in deepest winter ๐

Monday morning in the #Falklands started with sideways sleet and hail from the South (Mount Kent is a little grey) but is now cheering up a bit. We now have a snoring seal and a cat wondering whether it could have it for smoko ๐
A few from today (Sunday) down here in the #Falklands. A day of sun, showers and tourists as the Roald Amundsen was in port. Due to the forecast of showers I decided that the grass cutting would have to wait - I didnโt take much persuasion ๐ May have to get a ๐

An interesting piece written by Andres Montero who was very recently in the #Falklands as part of a Chilean trade delegation. For none Spanish speakers, a good online translation tool will do the job nicely :-) www.eldebate.com/internaciona...
This morning an albatross emerged from the early morning fog/mist here in Stanley harbour in the #Falklands. It was the expedition cruise vessel Ocean Albatros. A big shout out to them and I hope that have an awesome day ashore with us
What is DM-able please? I shall put my ignorance of this phrase down to either โbeing of a certain ageโ or having lead a sheltered life ๐

Life without your updates on aerosols/dust/smoke etc was just too boring - so here I am :-)
