Another way out: Power, force, and far-right rewards for killing The far-right’s celebration of killing and the state’s complicity in it show that violence is one of America’s sustaining forces

Fighting fascism requires a realistic analysis of power and force. The right-wing shouldn't feel they can reward their killers and motivate others to kill for them without any consequences. I wrote about the importance of unrelenting actions for @prismreports.org.

Another way out: Finding clarity for resistance Facing a wave of misinformation and the manipulation of algorithms, resistance starts with choosing how we listen, not just how we speak

“The last word about revolution was not already written, nor will it be written if we willingly hand ourselves over to forces working to make sure they control what we think.”

Columnist @williamcson.bsky.social explains why resistance starts with choosing how we listen, not just how we speak.

When we say Black, we mean EVERYBODY Black.

Blackness is not one story, one language, or one flag. It spans across continents, cultures, and histories — including the voices, brilliance, and resilience of Black immigrants in the United States.

Widespread contempt defines the USA these days. The most heartbreaking and tragic situations often seem to get less sympathy than they once did. Instead, many responses center on unflinching callousness and despicable scapegoating, pushing the country further into its spiraling downfall.

“There are so few truth-speaking traditions in this society in which the myth of "Western civilization" has claimed the allegiance of so many. We have rarely been encouraged and equipped to appreciate the fact that the truth works, that it releases the Spirit, and that it is a joyous thing.”
