Because we released the full version of Planet Shark (which can be found here moonlessworks.itch.io/planet-shark ) I'm going to be reposting some of my favorite Planet Shark art this week until I run out. I hope you all enjoy. 9

So I had an idea for a story set in the #LANCERRPG world.
But where is a good spot to publish it chapter by chapter, so it can be accessed as freely as possible?

Mission 01 - Printer Jam. Phase 1: Insertion

Mission Result: SUCCESS

• Nano printer recovered
• Missing pilots located
• Hostile units neutralized
• Anomalous fabrication halted

Assessment: Newly contracted Lancer wing demonstrates strong tactical capability.

PAN-OPS may consider further tasking.

ALFRED operational assessment:

The smuggler presence was unusually organized.

The nanoswarm platform suggests access to advanced or off-world technology.

Cause of printer corruption remains unknown.

Recommend continued observation of canyon smuggling networks.

A recovery team from Valley Fortress Dig Site later arrived with civilian mechs.

The nano printer was transferred and escorted to the site under Lancer protection.

Current status:
Wing resupplying and conducting field repairs at Valley Fortress.

Shortly after recovery, LANCER GLUES established optical line-of-sight communications with the wing.

Pilot confirmed alive and congratulated the wing on rapid mission completion.

Personnel recovery:

Wing sniper secured a nearby rock needle formation and located one missing escort pilot.

Condition:
Unconscious
Severely injured
Stabilized by Sylph survival suit.

Printer containment:

Wing systems specialist was unable to isolate the malicious fabrication code.

However, a factory reset successfully purged printer memory and halted all anomalous activity.

Device secured.

Engagement outcome:

CQB specialist advanced through nanite cloud formation and destroyed the nanoswarm platform with two close-range strikes.

Nanite clusters dispersed shortly after platform destruction.

During investigation, one of the “destroyed” escort mechs revealed itself to be a disguised nanoswarm platform.

Hostile unit deployed BOOST-CONSUME nanite clouds and attempted to immobilize the wing’s systems specialist.

Second engagement occurred in mesa-overlooked canyon terrain.

Wing sniper eliminated two Scout mechs at extreme range.
Electronic warfare specialist disabled an Archer platform.
CQB pilot destroyed a Barricade mech in close combat.

Remaining hostile pilot surrendered and was released.

Inside the canyon network the wing conducted sensor sweeps.

Results:
• Two pilot-suit IFF signals detected
• One degraded mech signal

All originating deeper within the canyon corridor to the north.

Upon landing, the wing encountered a smuggler blocking force attempting to deny access to a canyon system that offered shelter from the megastorm.

Enemy units included Scout, Assault, and improvised Barricade platforms.

All hostiles neutralized.

Deployment Method:

BLUEWASH drop from low orbit.

Historical success rate: 100%.
Total prior operational uses: 1.

Despite the statistics, the wing accepted the insertion due to time pressure.

All three Lancers landed successfully on the edge of Nessie’s equatorial desert.

Environmental conditions at mission start were severe.

Nessie had entered the global dust-storm phase of its extreme climate cycle. Winds strong enough to strip exposed tissue and ground all aircraft across the hemisphere.

Orbital insertion by carrier impossible.

Mission Context:

Two Lancers escorting a recovered Class-2 nano printer from an abandoned ASI excavation site in Nessie’s northern hemisphere lost contact after transmitting:

“Visual contact with a source of interference.”

One of the missing pilots: LANCER “GLUES”.

Three-pilot Lancer wing arrived in system aboard IPSN Industrial Instrument. Upon docking with platform PAYCHECK, the wing was immediately assigned an emergency rescue mission: PRINTER JAM.
