-2- Mostly healed but not quite. December 2024, rod and bolt removed. Original knee replacement removed. New knee installed with extended rod that extends above femur break. So far so good for healing. Everything crossed. Not fun!

Are you working in your field? Two years ago (almost 3) I slipped on the deck at Thanksgiving and shattered my femur. Plate and screws. 4 months non-weight-bearing. Result: non-union. July 2023 saw plate & screws removed and femoral rod and bolt installed.
