“That’s a horrible baby” 😁

I heard this version first too (and thought it was wonderful) but then found Love's original when it was used over the finale of "Russian Doll", and the combination destroyed me. The most perfect ending to an incredible show.
He was clearly referencing three adult members of Epstein’s team
This is SUCH a good show - it properly takes a stand while allowing space for counter-arguments (which it usually undermines with a quite ruthless deployment of kindness).
It's also very very funny. Pointing out that Morrissey's ISN'T being ironic while in the middle of a domestic is such a risk.
I went to see Adam recently in Hammersmith. His performance was so joyless. It looked like he'd been pushed onstage and told to get on with it.
I can’t think of a singer better suited to go wild and embrace the delight that his songs brought to the world. A Glastonbury slot would be incredible.
He was just sublime in “Priscilla”
True - the only potential opportunity to explore was during the problem-solving bit with the lanterns, but that whole section fell really flat (mainly because it was so difficult to read what was hidden in the notes)
Having said that (and despite giving it two stars in my head) I’d actually recommend going along. It desperately wants to match Punchdrunk’s “The Burnt City” in terms of scale, and almost ALMOST does.
The cast works really hard, but the reliance on getting the right responses from the right audience members at the right time is such a risky approach and the whole thing just doesn’t land as a result.
Truly.
With a few fairly small tweaks this could have been amazing. It starts really strongly and ends on a high, but what comes in between is enough to dilute the final impact.

Doesn’t he say “THIS black body”?
Hi! Can I buy a Mr Jolly please? It’s not mad urgent - thanks!
Much of the recent “House of Bernarda Alba” (and one incredible scene in particular) felt inspired by Lynch to me
