NEW Hidden Legacy by Ilona Andrews! loom.ly/IU5BTZo. Bound by their mission, Nevada and Connor clash over their tactics and moral beliefs, even as things undeniably heat up between them. But the man they’re chasing is involved in a darker conspiracy that threatens to destroy the city. #hiddenlegacy

In Washington it's Apple Health, in Oregon it's Oregon Health Plan or OHP. Share your Medicaid program's name and CONTACT your senators and representatives. You know someone who relies on Medicaid for medication, for mobility, for services that grant dignity and basic care. #ProtectMedicaid

Goodnight friends ❤️ Get some sleep.

Every day, I give up
for twenty minutes

but decide to
push through
on the twenty-first.

Survival is a ritual,
a ceremony, and
a practice.

What are you reading this week? I'm feeling the anti-hero meet-cute vibe #Romance. #IsabelJordan wrote a couple of smart, funny, fast #HEA stories that made my heart happy.

Same! The flu visited our family in a wave that lasted nearly a month from first infection to last. It landed in varying degrees but nothing as bad as I've heard from unvaccinated friends and colleagues. It's never too late to get vaccinated!

Measles high infection rate is the reason we have not yet been able to eradicate it. That rate means you need a very high vaccination rate to prevent outbreaks. It is possible, but not with current levels of institutional distrust.

This image is a promotional and motivational message for the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which is celebrated on February 11th. The phrase in Spanish, "Las mujeres ya no lloran, las mujeres calculan, investigan y descubren" (translated as "Women no longer cry; women calculate, investigate, and discover"), is a strong statement emphasizing the role of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) based on a liric from a Shakira's song.

Rereading Stephen King: week six – The Stand James Smythe: With a deadly virus called Captain Trips and a villain who preys on the weak, Stephen King's The Stand isn't just about good versus evil – it's also about fate

The author of this article and I share similar views of The Stand. I agree, although it's not King's best story, it is one of the most important.

I had to pick it up again. Rereading Stephen King: week six – The Stand www.theguardian.com/books/2012/a...

I was a young teen when I read this book. It was my first exposure to radicalization. That wasn't a wasn't a term used in 1983. LDG illustrated for me how both sides manipulate soldiers. I walked away from this book confused and questioning. 42 years later I still question.

Hail, Inanna, Queen of Transformation!
Morning Star that rises anew,
Breaker of chains, Turner of tides,
You who shape the world with fire and storm,
You who walk the path of change unafraid.
Today, I call upon your power—
Let the old be torn down,
Let the new be forged in light.

Not all heroes wear capes. These days, it seems, a lot of them are wearing lab coats.
