We’re organising the Tree Circle Cinema, the free community film showings in South Millfields Park, on 6 Sept. We hope you’ll join us. We need to raise enough to cover the cost of putting on the event… please support us if you can:

@hackneyabbott.bsky.social I support the assisted dying bill because I’ve seen friends and family members suffer needlessly at the end of their lives. I want a choice and I want others to have the same choice. #LetUsChoose
Going to the #HackneyMoves festival this Saturday? Pop in to the Tree Nursery Open Day on the other side of the Hackney Marshes Centre. It’s a very special place. And a very short walk. And part of the @urbantreefest.bsky.social.

Innovations in food technologies mean we can now produce the foods we love with a fraction of the environmental impact.

Another workday at our allotment site. Bee bank and beetle bank weeded and native hedge weeded, watered and mulched. It’s a good way to meet the allotment neighbours and it looks great.
We were out tree planting again yesterday in Millfields Park, our third day creating a native woodland strip to create habitat and support our wildlife corridors.
We’re back in Millfields Cricketfield tomorrow & Sat planting native whips to extend the woodland strip. It’s going to look amazing but it’ll also screen out the view, noise & pollution of the traffic and create new habitat. Join us if you can. @hackneycouncil.bsky.social @tmhackney.bsky.social
