Panel 2. In one room of the dungeon, a giant beautiful and inviting door with a red carpet, and on the side, in the shadow a too little door. Writing on big door: Go to the trap, on small door: Go to the treasure. The adventurer crouch and do a little sign to the fairy to follow him to the little door.
> Dungeon: "Ha ha, you're good!"

Panel 3. The aventurer is now putting some effort climbing on an old rope in the middle of a room with a beautiful luxuous stairway with a red carpet on the side. A sign tells "GO TO THE TREASURE but pass by the trap" in direction of the beautiful stairs; and "(other options)" in small and in the shadow in direction of the rope.
> Dungeon: "Impressive!"

Panel 4. Top down view on the adventurers shrugging in front of the fairy, they reached a dead end. A short path on the right has on the ground the word "Now", and a longer path "Later". Both lead to a giant pool of green acid where bones and skulls are floating.
> Dungeon: "So, when do you want to jump to the trap?"

Oooh, I'm on TWO anti-AI lists, sweet! IS there a highscore for this, should I start a 100% speedrun of getting on these lists so we can compete?

Wait, I'm on the list too! One of us! One of us!

A few years back I modelled & 3D printed this Levequest card.

Creating the 'stained glass' effect using a single colour printer involved manually swapping out FOURTEEN different filaments.

I was always very happy with it, but it's too much hassle to make more.

Entra's Conditional Access policies are explicitly for dealing with this exact set of concerns, as an example of one way to tackle it if you're curious. And yeah, your worries are bang on accurate.

I guess I'm now my grandfather. Arrived home from a trip to find a dirtbike parked in my driveway... Neighbor's kid's bike, betting he couldn't get it started and pushed it up the road in hopes that I'd be able to help but wasn't home.

Just got it started after some TLC, will ride it down to him.

Sir, ALL old-school conversion vans may ONLY be used for shenanigans, as per the law.

Finally got some time to sit and just stare at my bike in the garage for 20 mins and now have a charging system monitor bracket design in my head, along with how to make it plotted out, finally. This weekend there will be metal shavings EVERYWHERE.

Today's unexpected test: Remembering how to do custom kernels on FreeBSD 4.x / 6.x in a hurry. Why does this knowledge persist in my head in 2026?!

Unexpected find when pulling my race helmet from it's box to verify it was still good for this year: Dry rice cache. We knew mice had found a bag of rice, didn't know they were storing it in my helmet box... Fortunately no signs of them getting IN the box, just depositing rice for a rainy day.

By Pentium era 'lots' of RAM was easy, PCI was common so you can easily slap SATA on, fast NIC, fast video, etc... it's just not the same challenge. Hell, I've got kit that is 64bit that modern distros are dropping support for just because they're ABIv1 and not later. :/

Goodnight 486 support, you'll be missed. My days of spinning up modern installs of Linux on my Soekris 4501 / 4801 for personal entertainment are coming to an end, as they did for the 386 about a decade prior.

Wheel re-machined finally by a friend (first Dymag made for this bike, tone ring centering boss was 1mm oversize by mistake) and a new bar setup to get more down and forward on the bike.

I've been working on a little tool to automatically optimize Fedora for real-time audio processing. ๐ŸŽถ

Is anyone interested in testing it? Bonus points if you know what audio buffer sizes and xruns are (so you can tell if it helps) ^^

The bluesky address is @attie.ai and it really needs to be in the top five accounts blocked on this platform. This is honestly some of the most tonedeaf shit Iโ€™ve seen from BS and thats saying something
