The Paul Whitehouse ‘isn’t milk brilliant’ character from the classic BBC series the Fast Show is pictured alongside the slogan ‘int the NHS brilliant’
Every time me or my family needs the NHS I am in awe. Such a great system and such wonderful people working there. Particular shout out to those specialist who do all the checks ‘just to be on the safe side’ These people are literally life savers. We are so so lucky.

After the film there will be a supportive discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally.
At this time of widespread disinformation and polarisation around Net Zero, let’s hear this together and build momentum for real change. 2/2

Nukes or windfarms, its all the same anti-democratic politics
The climate transition demands the banning of protests and the weakening of environmental law - its neither profitable nor possible while ecology and democracy function.
nigel farage tweet: The Bank of England is replacing Winston Churchill with a picture of a beaver on our bank notes. This is the definition of woke.
i, for one, am delighted that we finally have a definition of “woke”
I’d like to see sphagnum and seagrass but I’m guessing they won’t make the list
“Cost” of net zero is less than the cost of a single fossil fuel price shock.
Though of course net zero isn’t a cost but an investment in a healthier, liveable, more secure planet.

Contrary to predictions, "Nature is slowing down, and its ability to regenerate is failing in the face of climate change." A new analysis finds the speed of species turnover in ecosystems worldwide has slowed by a third since the mid-1970s. 🌎🌿🧪

This is so great. Over the last 12 years beavers have gone from something that governments wanted rid of and few of the NGOs cared about, to being recognised as a native species right across GB. Well done to all those who campaigned to get us here.
VOLUME RIGHT UP!
Listen to the roar of frogs, the odd pipe of a toad and the whirr of a wren.
All clamouring for SPRING (well, for sex).
OK, the Gorton and Denton by-election, I have some thoughts!
Let's take a look at some of the FACTS and burst a few of the more ridiculous takes doing the rounds
But first up, can we acknowledge just what bad losers Reform are?!🤣
Right, let's get started...

More than half of global GDP depends on nature, yet biodiversity loss is accelerating. Governments have now agreed the first global assessment focused on business.
In this blog, Katie Leach outlines what it means for companies and why nature is business critical.
Macro photo of a brown stink bug in face view on a leaf, guarding a tightly-clustered bunch of eggs that are shaped and colored exactly like a full tray of dark beer with foam on top.
Finally, the bug is back with a round of the Guinness.
This spring sees the release of a documentary about the fight to defend and extend access to nature in England and Wales. OUR LAND, directed by Orban Wallace and shot by Gallivant Film, follows the Right to Roam campaign as we trespass estates and challenge removal of rights on Dartmoor and beyond.

Following the success our #RewildTheRoyals campaign, we're thrilled to see the progress in expanding our beloved temperate rainforest on Dartmoor, owned by the Duchy of Cornwall. Thanks to Natural England, The Woodland Trust and Moor Trees for your hard work!

We're also marking the launch of Radical Rural, a gallery trail championing many more voices who champion and care for rural England today. From summoning the folk spirits of England's woods and tors, to meticulously mapping the data of who really owns England.

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

Last month the UK Government quietly released a report detailing the severe threats to our national security posed by biodiversity loss.
It shows why we need to campaign for nature now more than ever.

I found this really resonated
We ask teachers to hold the emotional weight of the future —
often without the language, support, or permission to be honest.
Today, Climate Courage Schools is launching The Hardest Lesson, a short film about that quiet pressure inside the classroom. Watch here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H-5...
I used to be a secondary school teacher. 3 of our feeder primaries were flooded. It was months before the children could return. Many of our students’ homes were flooded too. Adults often put it on students as if it’s their responsibility to respond to climate change but it’s not, it’s ours.
